LOVE BULLDOZER

There are multiple renovation projects going on around my workplace.
I pass these projects every morning and evening as I arrive and leave my job.

The contractors have these tractors with huge wrecking balls that they have used to knock down these old buildings downtown to build up new ones.
I remember when one in particular was still standing and it had been vacant for over 15 years, just tall and empty not able to be inhabited for use.

I compared my self to one of those buildings and I just got to thinking and thanking God for leveling me with His Love.

You know a bulldozer is a powerful tractor with a broad steel blade or a ram in front for clearing land and leveling uneven surfaces especially in preparation for building roads, airfields or new buildings.

The love of God through His Son/Word was that bulldozer that cleared and made my uneven places straight.

God can take your funky attitude and renew it even if your attitude was formed based on things that happened to you as a child.

When you begin to regard God as able to restore and create in you a clean heart, a heart of love and compassion, if your desire is to be changed, if you have cried out to God saying, "I don't like having a hateful, deceitful, critical personality
Help Me!

God heard it and He is faithful to send a Word to help produce something new in you.

Childhood for many of us was no cakewalk but it doesn't excuse poor or hateful behavior in an adult who knows Jesus.
I am not talking about folks who reject the works or abilities of the LORD.
I am talking to people who believe that all things are possible with God.
Because either you really believe that or you just blowing smoke.

Don't make excuses for grown folks who have been given charge and insight into God's Word.
Forgive people but give them the truth.

I want you to know that you don't get into heaven based on the terror and trial that you put up with as a child or spouse.
You don't get into heaven because you didn't kill the man who raped you.
You don't get into heaven because you suffered in this life.
Many folks suffer but they still refuse to forgive and walk in love.

It is not by our works so that we believe God owes us something.
God doesn't owe us anything based on our choices but He is good and He blesses us with His Mercy and Grace.

We owe God everything.

You get to be with God for eternity based on your faith in Jesus Christ, your believing that Jesus died for your sins and that God raised Him up from the grave to sit at His right hand on the throne.

No matter the good deeds, no matter the money raised, no matter the homes visited, no matter the cakes baked, that's all good and good works are an extension of our faith but they are not the key to our faith.

Faith worketh by love and love is what enables you to do the good things.
Nothing is able to tear down, even out, level and make plain a path like the Love Of God.
I know this.

Hear the Word Of God.
Receive the Word Of God.
Acknowledge that the LORD is the way to change.

Because unless God changes it, unless God builds it up, all the work is useless.
When I say this I mean unless it is done the LORD'S way it's useless and it will not stand.

We think sometimes if we just work a little harder or hit the lottery, if we had different parents or if we would have married someone else it would have worked out perfectly.
So because none of what we believe should be ours has manifest we think God won't do it.

I believe if we go back and examine if what we did in our life was done God's way we would discover it has nothing to do with our childhood, our messed up ex's, our uneducated parents, our poor beginnings.

It has everything to do with walking life out as the LORD advises.
As soon as we turn and acknowledge God's way all of the past is washed away.
God polishes you and restores you to your rightful place.

I am anxious to see the newly renovated buildings downtown because the rubble will be hauled away to make room for all new materials.
If you never let go of all of the old mess there will never be room for the new goodness.
