JESUS opened the book and found where it was written what the prophet Isaiah said and began to read:
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor: He hath sent me to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.
LUKE 4:18

Jesus said, I am here to proclaim the word that will release men from all the bondage and burden of sin.

What binds the poor man?

Not lack of money but lack of revelation knowledge that Jesus came to deliver him from poverty.

Why does a heart remain hurt, bitter and depressed?

Not for the damage that was caused to it.
But because the healing power of God has not been administered to it.

Why would a man or woman believe that they are bound by circumstances, color, upbringing, lack of education or anything that mere men subscribe to them?

Because they haven't heard what God said about it.

Who believes that they have to live scarred in sickness, disease, and pain?

Those who don't know that Jesus Christ was sent to release them and set them at liberty from the curse of sin.

Those who believe in Jesus and on His authority, the cage has been opened for you.
For an unhindered free run.

SET AT LIBERTY

On whatever day you received Christ as Saviour that was your Independence day.
