THE FLESH IS NEVER WILLING

THE SPIRIT STAYS READY.

One of the things that I notice in scripture about the Lord Jesus is that He stayed in prayer.
It's less likely that you will be distracted and drop out when you are always giving everything to God.
Giving God every challenge, every obstacle, every problem.

The Holy Spirit has been advising me to step aside at any moment in the day that I can, even if it's for a bathroom break and pray about whatever He brings to my mind.
We all face challenges in people and in circumstances and situations daily.

I look at the challenges, people and circumstances that Jesus faced and I see that He stayed in prayer.
He departed and got alone and offered everything up to the Father and the Father in turn gave Him grace for the race.
Matthew 14:23
... when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was there, He was there alone.

I spend as much time as I can alone without neglecting my duties as a member of the body of Christ, a wife, mother and an employee.
Because I have to know what God is saying more than what someone else is complaining about.

The flesh can't step away from the crowd because it doesn't want to miss anything.
The Spirit knows that nothing of real value is missed when you set your self apart for fellowship with God.

Jesus taught His disciples in Mark 14:38
Watch ye and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The Spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.
He said to pray lest you enter into temptation.

Lest you decide to drop out of church.
Lest you decide not to do right on your job.
Lest you decide to run with the wrong people.

So temptation is something that we have to enter into to, it doesn't just overpower us.
We walk right on into it totally aware.
And then when the result of walking into temptation comes, we wonder why.How if i do not spend time with God I will be off distracted doing all sorts of things, knowing that God has given me an assignment but I ain't no where in the vicinity of doing what He said, I done walked into some shoe store because some other chick got some shoes.

God done told me to sow my shoe money.
If I don't get before God, I don't even know where I am supposed to be.

Oh I am definitely talking about me today.

So the Lord is teaching us to have communion with The Father so that we can receive the grace that keeps us from walking into the lust of the flesh.

Jesus had a great assignment that He was only able to complete by staying before God.

The fulfilling of the blessings in the scriptures are connected in how we connect to the Father.

If I'm offering words up to God I can't be cussing somebody else out.
If I'm offering words up to God, I can't be gossiping.

My mind is stayed on the things that are above so I am not jumping to conclusions and accepting every thought that the enemy brings my way.

If my conversation is in heaven then my flesh doesn't have anything to talk to but the back of my hand.

It's the Spirit that works the works of God because it's the Spirit that connects us to our Father.

Step away from some things today and call on your Spirit to respond, it's ready, alert and standing at attention to be sent on a mission.

The Spirit is always ready to do God's will, it's just waiting to be called upon and sent out.
The flesh has to be dragged kicking and screaming to do anything.

Prayer is how we can be instant in season and out of season.
It's how Jesus did it.

Depart today and every day just you and talk to God about it and then receive that grace to win the race.

THE SPIRIT IS READY ARE YOU?
