IS YOUR NAME ANOINTED?

Written on the tables of my heart, your Word.
Thank You Father for giving me everything that I need.

...whatsoever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him.
Colossians 3:17

I'm talking to the anointed.
Whatever you do, you do in the character and integrity of the Lord Jesus.

You can go back in that chapter and the Father has laid out the character and integrity of Him self showing us what to do.
Verse 17 starts with the word AND, well we know you can't begin a sentence with AND without having something before it.

Go back to Colossians 3:10 and begin with the putting on of the new man, the anointed man.

IS YOUR NAME ANOINTED?
If Christ lives in and dwells in you you need to know that your name has been changed.

My children and my self have my husbands last name and we are legally authorized to use it to be identified.
I have a legal binding marriage contract in the State of Michigan that makes me a Pitts.

I used to have a different name but Kevin gave me the authority on paper to be called Mrs. Pitts when he made me his wife.
It it is useful because I do have to use his name and my children have to use his name.

Well Jesus has done the very same thing for the believer.
An even greater covenant, an even stronger binding signature, with a seal greater than the State of Michigan.
Amen.
Our name was mud but when we made Jesus Christ the Lord of our lives all of that changed.

But if I walk out on Kevin and no longer want to be his wife, do you think Kevin will still let me have the pin number to his debit card?
You think if I go and leave Kevin and my kids to live with another man and give my self to him, Kevin will let me just withdraw money from his account for me and my boyfriend?

I don't think so.
So I'm trying to put this in terms that folks can relate to.

Remember we talked about what is in a name yesterday?
How the character is in the Name and if we want to use the authority we have to be walking in the character.

I have to be a Kevin's wife to use Kevin's things.
Amen.
There are some steps that we have to take, like us letting the peace of God rule in our hearts above all of the nonsense.
The Word says that we have to let the peace of God rule in our hearts.
What does that mean?
That means that it ain't automatic.
That means that we have to decide in whatever the situation or circumstance that we are not going to let it override the peace that God has given us.

These are some action taking steps:
We have to put on love, love don't just leap on us in the morning, we have to pull love out and put it on.

As the Elect of God we have to decide to be humble, it ain't automatic.
Our humanity is prideful but our spirituality is humble.

Christ is Christos meaning the Anointed One and His Anointing.
God and all of God's ability.
God has given us His ability through Christ Jesus to do all of these things.

JESUS!
Hold on, let me just get my self together because I'm hollin' right now.

If we don't do these things we will not walk in the power that God has given us.
We can't walk out on and away from God's way and still use His name.

I didn't say that you weren't saved and that you ain't going to heaven.
Evil and sin ain't gonna be in heaven so if you have repented (turned from sin) and received Jesus as Lord heaven is your home.

I'm talking about right now.
You know what Proverbs 22:1 says?
It says that a good name is rather to be chosen than great riches.
A good character makes up our reputation.

What does your reputation say about you?
That's your name.

Walk It Out.
