ENTERTAINED OR EQUIPPED?

WHICH ONE WOULD YOU RATHER BE?

Jesus said:
My sheep hear(recognize) my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

I understand that some believe that there is a new method to winning the lost and to growing churches.
I have no experience as a pastor or in marketing, but what I do know is that it was not a gimmick or a show that brought me to Jesus.

I understand that God will speak to you through a donkey if He has to.
I know that there are many ways to minister but don't ever get away from the key.
It is the foolishness (simplicity) of preaching the gospel.
It's the Word.

The same Word that called Bertha Jean out the world in 1945 is the same Word that has not lost it's power to call Shaneeka and them out of the world in 2010.
You can have 6 services a week, but who is equipped?

This same Word is what Paul preached to the Jews, those under the law and to the weak.
The Apostle Paul said I made my self a servant that I might gain more.
To the Jews he became a Jew.. he was born a Jew so what does that mean?
To the weak he became weak, that he might gain the weak: He became all things to all men, that he by all means might save some.

What Paul did was he didn't discriminate he left no one out and he preached the kingdom to all of them and he didn't change it for any of them.

It was word of mouth that lead folks to Jesus who had not witnessed His teaching and the miracles of multiplication and of healing and raising of the dead.

The woman at the well ran and told everyone she knew about a man who had talked to her about her whole life.

She wasn't entertained but she was equipped in one conversation to spread the word.

I don't know where you go to worship and I am not speaking against it, what I am asking is, are you entertained or equipped?

Equipped will change your life and everyone around you.

Entertainment will not turn you into a servant what it will do is put you in the mindset that pastor had better top his last performance, because I didn't come to learn how to live holy, I came to be entertained.

Once you get into the habit of being entertained you will expect entertainment always.
The anointing is there but you can't recognize it apart from the entertainment.
You won't want or receive correction or rebuke which are two things that will keep you sound in the faith.

In the New Year I will begin to deal with some subjects that the Lord has placed on my heart and I am coming out of the gate serious because entertainment is not going to keep you from trying to sleep with some other woman's husband be you male or female.

Afrocentrism is not going to help your esteem in God and set an example for your children that keeps them from going to hell, jail or a mental home.

Opinions, flip quotes and theories will not save you or your family, only the Word of God will.

The damage that is produced in a life and the lives of family members will be addressed through participating in gossip, slander and lies.

And trust that I do not speak indirectly to anyone, if you log on to this site, I'm talking to you, even if you don't admit to following it.
The Word is for everyone.

I'm going to start out simply telling it like it is according to the Word so we have no place else to go but up if we come out of the gate uncompromising.

My prayer this day as we go into the New Year is that men and women recognize the voice of the Chief Shepherd flee from sin and the voice of all strangers.

The good shepherd gives his life for the sheep.
He considered him self of no reputation and He humbled himself, He became a servant.

Understand that the shepherd takes his life and labours in the Word when others are taking another mans labour and profiting from it. The Word being taught profits all men.
