NEW EVERY MORNING

Lamentations 3:21-23
21 This I call to my mind, therefore have I hope.
22 It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassion's fail not.
23 They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

The Word says, This I call to my mind, therefore I have hope.

I have found that everything that God has already given us we have to call it up and we have to bring it forth and we have to work it out.

Don't be praying LORD make me over.
Because He done did that already when you received Christ.
He gave us this Word and He said, Take the world off and put Me on.

This is what we want to meditate on day and night that our faith might stay on track.
This is what we replace any suggestion that says that we can't do what God says we can do or be what God says we can be.

This is what we think on when the feeling of shame or guilt tries to overcome us.

Because it is of the very mercy of God that every last one of us has not been consumed.

It's not because of our education and rank.
It's not because of how many friends we have.
It ain't because of who our momma or daddy is.

It's not our church or our pastor's.
It's not because people say that we are so beautiful and or anointed.
It's not because of our level of wealth and or connections.

It's because The Fathers compassion, mercy and faithfulness don't fail us.
Who is us?
Psalm 23
Those of the household of faith, them that are lead by God, meaning we follow God's way of being and doing.
His sheep, and Jesus is the chief Shepherd.

Yes, The Lord's mercies are new every morning, but what are we going to do with that mercy today?

Are we going to forgive and walk in love as God would have us to do or put our selves in a place to grieve the Holy Spirit of God?

I just finished teaching my own children what mercy meant recently.

Let me share what they now know.

Mercy defined for the Pitts children is this:

When you are guilty of wrong doing and you do deserve to pay the penalty, you are pardoned.

Set free, redeemed like all of those who have received Jesus Christ as LORD we should all go straight to hell, but God has given us a choice, we choose to get out of it.

Glory to His Holy and Righteous Name!

We taught the kids that when you know right and you do wrong any way, you should be punished for that wrong it is a learning tool to save you from harm, hurt and danger.
There are times when mommy and daddy give you a second chance, that's what mercy is.

Our second chance, our only chance, our final chance is Jesus Christ.
The Father has done the same thing, sent His Son to save us from hurt, harm and danger.

That means living as He commanded us to live as we require of our own children.

Proverbs 16:6
By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.

By mercy and truth.
So we need both mercy and then we need the Word because that is the truth.
Jesus said this is what makes a man free in John 8:31,32

By mercy and truth sin is cast out, thrown out, shut down, cut off.
And men who respect and honor God depart from sin and all the evil that is connected to it.

Anyone who loves God departs from his own way, from the worlds way and walks as God would have them to walk.

You don't cuss folks out anymore.
You don't hold jealousy and lies in your heart anymore.
You don't walk in pomp and pride anymore.

You aren't sliding around gathering gossip anymore.
You don't try and create drama anymore.
You don't knock folks out anymore.

You ain't trying to be slick anymore.

Listen to teacher Lolo.

Proverbs 16:5-32
Get in the Word and think on these things.

The New Mercy every morning is God giving man the opportunity to seek Him.
We have been pardoned from death every day that your eyes open and some of us act like it's our right.

It's the mercy of God.
Take that mercy that has been given you today and get in God's Word and let Him renew your thinking so that you will operate as He would have you to, in peace and joy and love and self control and kindness and Meekness in the Name of Jesus!

It's New Today!
Love Y'all
