WHO FILLED YOUR HEART?

Romans 7:11
For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.

What is it that will always cause man to fall?

Pride.
Pride invites the curse in and it is a blessing blocker.
I always go back to the beginning in Genesis and look over the blessing in the Garden.
Who did the enemy deceive first?
It wasn't Eve.

The enemy deceived his self first.
1 Corintians 3:18, 19
18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seems to be wise in this world,let him become a fool that he may be wise.
19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, he taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

God knows what we are thinking, the enemy doesn't.


One definition for deception is forgetting from which you were formed.

You don't ever want to forget that God made you in His image and likeness.
You don't ever want to believe that you are God and or that you can be God.
You are a child of God, A creation of God, filled with God's Power, Spirit ,love, faith, wisdom and ability but you are by no means God.

Don't get it twisted.
Because Lucifer did just that and there in lies the curse.

So after Lucifer deceived himself he went on to deceive the serpent.
Don't get to the place where you think trumpets are supposed to sound when you walk in.

Have any of you ever been in a situation where someone just blew up at you, I mean just went completely berserk and went to yelling and making a complete jackass of them selves out of nowhere?

I don't mean in traffic somewhere where you may have cut them off or be driving too slow.
I'm talking in a quiet setting or meeting, or the most inappropriate place for this rampage.
this happens because people think that it's all about them.

Folks don't want to stand in a grocery line because they think that they are the only ones on the planet who want to eat.

They hate for the elevator to stop on any floor except for the one that they are going to, like noone else on the planet wants to go up or down but them.

We all have a place that we need to be but everything doesn't revolve around us as individuals.

It's happened to me a couple of times in my life where someone just blew up out of the clear blue sky and I know God and shock was the thing that kept me because I know that I don't have the capacity to understand all manner of foolishness.

One particular time I was in a meeting about business discussing how we could improve the business. There were announcements being made and one announcement was that one of the workers was leaving her position.

While this was taking place one of this woman's friends stood up and began shouting about how her friend had been the best ever to do what she did and believed that she should be applauded.
This woman was actually yelling at me, I mean directly in my face.

I was smiling because I surely believed that she had been smoking crack and would soon come down from her high.

The woman that she was speaking of was leaving the company because she had been corrected for her behaviour.

You know I'm serious right now there is nowhere on the planet where you can go and no one will ever have to correct you.
There is a way to do it and the motive should be to help you but be for real.

I later found out that rumors had been spread suggesting that I was the one who went to management telling of her poor behaviour because it was poor, but it wasn't me.
This woman was always loyal to be there but she was never on her assignment, she was always socializing.

I never ever complained to anyone about this woman but as sure as water is wet this woman picked me as the one and her flaky misinformed friend decided to address me in this setting and she was wrong as two left shoes.

I was doing her work so naturally she assumed that I had gotten tired of it and complained but I never did.
People are a trip and they really believe that their flaky thinking is rolling around in your brain.

The offense and pride that both she and her friends walked in had nothing to do with me but everything to do with what they believed they deserved.

The woman left the company and her friend stayed on and every time I had the opportunity I would bless her nutty friend because I understood that it was the devil that filled her heart with the nonsense that she was spouting in that meeting.

Ethical manager's don't tell you where they received their information because it would create strife and sometimes the information is shady because the informant is holding something against the individual that they are speaking against, so an investigation needs to be made.

When trusted folks with no power issues of their own hear by the 10's and 20's that there is a problem , we want to look at that problem.

The company was losing individuals because of the pride of a few of it's workers.
There is a way to speak to people and love is how you do it.
Correction is good for all men because it will save you from heartache.

Even when I am reprimanded I take responsibility for me and I never put the blame on anyone else or try and transfer my responsibility on to someone else.

When Adam was reprimanded in the garden the first thing he did was transfer the blame to Eve and then on to God, saying, it was her that woman that You gave me...

But do you know who God dealt with first in that situation?
The Serpent
The one who allowed the thinking to be introduced to his thought pattern.
He didn't cast it down, he listened, he leaned in and said, "Say What?"
And then he agreed.
Yes, he got into agreement.

Two can't walk together unless they agree.
Look at who you are walking with and what they are saying.

Genesis 3:14
And The LORD God said unto the serpent,
Because you have done this, you are cursed above all cattle,
and above every beast of the field; upon your belly will you go,
and dust will you eat all the days of your life...

We know that this was a type and shadow of the things to come.
The following verse speaks of how the seed of a woman would bruise his head and he would bruise his heel. The serpent representing the devil and the seed of a woman representing our Saviour.

But we are looking at right then and there in the garden when the serpent was a beast of the field and what he did was he allowed his heart to be filled with pride.

The Lord told the serpent because you have done this, you are cursed above all cattle.
At that time satan couldn't even get into an animal unless the animal allowed it.

Right now today he can't have access to your heart unless you allow it.

Guard your heart.
This is for real.
Walking in the counsel of the ungodly and ungodly people are everywhere, they even go to church regularly.
Standing in the circle with sinners.
Siting down in the company of the scornful.

You can't even sit next to everybody in church, folks are making nasty comments right in the pews.
The scornful mind is everywhere, in your office, in the mall, in your family, you might even be one of them.

Think about what you are saying and where those comments are coming from.

Scornful, ungodly, sinful and wicked hearted folk are an open invitation to the enemy.
If you hang out with them it won't be too long before they are passing the buck to you to take a puff and be used.

The thing about the enemy is that he uses you, abuses you and then he drops you and leaves you for dead.
But Jesus came that you might choose life.
Choosing to walk in the fruit of God's Spirit and believe the best of folks and not the worst is not easy but all things are possible through Christ.

Jesus said in Matthew 12:33,34
33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good: or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by it's fruit.

We have to make it good because God has already given us everything that pertains to life and godliness.

The Lord is not going to throw us down and make us act right or live right.
He told us to do it.

One of my instructors asked us last night " What are you known for?"
Ask the Lord to reveal to you what you are known for?

Is it for making excuses or taking responsibility.
Is it for being slick or walking in integrity so that the Name of God is not blasphemed?
Are you known for being hateful and fake and planting that seed into other people?

34 O generation of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.

The next time someone is gossiping in your ear think about that hissing and where it's coming from and what it's doing to your heart.
Jesus referred to these sort of evil speaking folk as snakes.
The Lord also talked about whatever fills the heart of men comes out of their mouth.

When that woman got up shouting in that room at our meeting her heart was revealed for all to see.
Because a heart filled with a treasure of good thoughts brings them forth.
A heart that meditates on a bunch of garbage brings that garbage forth.

What have you allowed satan to fill your heart with?

Contempt will bring the curse.

Go to Genesis chapter 3 and really think on those things.

Psalm 1:1-3

Father,
We just thank You for Your Word that renews, restores and washes our souls through applying Your commands.

We will not allow pride to enter into our hearts Father, we refuse to be used of the enemy.

Pride nor vengeance has no place in us!

But we will receive Your instruction with a meek and gentle heart trusting in You.
