THANK YOU FATHER!
I just thank God for His Word.
I am so grateful that God nor Holy Spirit are bullies.
I thank God that He is not a Father who says, "Don't do what I do, do what I say."
That statement has got to be the most twisted example of parenting and I thank God for showing me that I can't do that with my own children.
But our God is The God that says, Do what I do and say what I say.
And He lays the foundation and example to do that clearly in His Word.
Y'all know I'm going back to Genesis, right?
Amen.
(read it like it's your first time reading it, out loud and slow) think on it today.
Genesis 1:26-28
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
Not dominion over each other.
Did you all know that God is not a Capitalist or a Communist?
27 So God created man (not an electronically charged mud slide) in His own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created He them.
28 And God blessed them (they didn't do anything to earn this blessing, God simply empowered them), And God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air , and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
God said, I have made you and Blessed you to Be like me.
Let us make man in our image and in our likeness.
Who is our?
The Father, The Son, The Holy Spirit.
We know that the first man missed it, was deceived and in doing so he signed over his domain and his power to the enemy.
People think that supernatural power doesn't come through knowledge or understanding or wisdom, But God said, faith comes by hearing.
And faith is not blind.
It's not a leap in the dark.
When Peter stepped out of that boat it's because Jesus told him to come, it wasn't Luke or John on the other side of that water calling him, it was Jesus.
It wasn't a blind stab in the dark, Peter heard his LORD tell him to come on.
Be careful to listen for the LORD.
Because Lucifer crept up and tried to give Adam instruction.
When Adam stepped out it was not at the voice of God and Adam fell and had no immediate hand up.
Peter stepped out and as soon as he did he was challenged but because it was God instructing him, he had an immediate hand up and didn't drown.
People go down because it ain't Jesus giving the instruction or doing the calling.
A man can't carry out an assignment without instruction.
God gave the man instruction right there in the midst of that garden.
The Father explained to man how he was made so there would be no confusion.
(You are made in the image of the living God)
The Father told man what His assignment was before He blessed him. (have dominion)
Before He gave man the ability man was given the assignment to (have dominion.)
Then Father told man how he would be able to do it.
(Because I am going to Bless you, I am going to make you able)
If God has made you one thing don't try and be something else.
The first thing God told man to Be with that Blessing, was Be fruitful.
The first thing The Father told man to do was to develop His Spiritual attributes in our self.
To imitate Him as dearly beloved children.
We have to learn to have dominion over our own self.
Over our emotions, reactions, thought patterns and perceptions.
This is why He teaches us to renew our minds by His Word.
God is not a bundle of fear, envy, doubt, hurt, tricks, strife and offence.
God is an ever healed God and we are healed too because Jesus didn't stay on that cross.
We don't have to be crucified, get on down off the cross today, it's been done already.
But our nasty attitudes our wrong thinking, our pride and arrogance our unforgiveness we can nail those suckers right up on the cross and leave them there.
The symbol of the Lord's resurrection is so powerful because even when He was bruised and smitten and the chastisement of our sin was laid upon Him, He didn't fight back physically.
He didn't bully or manipulate His captors emotionally.
Because the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.
Zechariah 4:6 The Word of the LORD came unto Zerubbabel saying,
Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit sayeth the LORD of hosts.
A God thing is accomplished not by our muscle, level of clout, education or talent.
Acts 1:8 says that a joker receives power to do, when the Spirit of God comes upon them.
2 Timothy 1:7 says,
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
AMPLIFIED VERSION says,
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity(of cowardice, of craven, and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and a of calm and well balanced mind with discipline and self control.
Why did God give us all of that?
Did y'all know that God gave us all of that?
So that we could live and walk by His Spirit because that is the power that leads men to Him.
That is the blessing.
That is Being fruitful and the only way that we will multiply is when we are being fruitful.
God is not doing one thing and then asking us to do something else.
He's not saying, "I am God and I am perfect and you are not so it's okay for you to act a fool."
2 Corinthians 12:9 the Lord told Paul:
My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.
He's saying, "I have given you my Spirit now be like me"
Do what I do and say what I say.
Acts 10:38 said that Jesus Christ had that power.
To the naked eye that lacks wisdom it looked like Jesus had lost on that cross.
The mockers said, "If you are the king, save your self from this."
The Lord thought, Why would I just save me?
Ain't no power in that.
Thank God that Jesus died and rose again.
Thank God that by being born again we can die to self and live unto Him.
Because the risen Christ was then able to say,
All power is given to me in heaven and in earth...
And then he was able to give us that same power.
Luke 9;1
Then he called His twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases...
POWER!
LOVE Y'ALL
