NOT BY GUILT

Saved by Faith

Hey Y'all!

Happy Blessed Monday!

I want to thank God for every eye that sees this blog and I want to ask the Holy Spirit to help me clearly communicate the Father's heart in my writing.

In Jesus Name.
Amen

So Friday I was lead to speak about hell not being a reform school.
Today I want to communicate something clearly.
I'm not someone who wants you to feel guilty and neither does God.

1John 4:15,16 Know this:
If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in him and he in God.
And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.

The Father doesn't want us to depend on anything more than we depend on the love that He has for us.
Don't put your trust in anything, anyplace or anybody more than you trust God.

Don't come to God because you feel guilty.
If we come to the Lord because we feel guilty that means that we didn't come by faith and we will never be able to operate in faith because we didn't come in faith to begin with.

You will be weighed down with guilt whenever someone has a theory because you didn't come to God based in faith.

Come to God because you believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
When we come this way nothing will stop us from doing what He tells us to do.

Hebrews 11:6

Come to God because you have heard the Word preached and you now understand the need for the Saviour.

Guilt is a feeling that will feed doubt and it doesn't come from God.

Faith is not a feeling, it's a gift from God.

Both faith and guilt come by hearing.

I pray that you to hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying to you today.

If you come to God because you feel guilty, when you do mess up and you will, (because nobody has walked this life including Abraham the Father of faith without messing up) you will think that you are no longer saved.
You will think that now you are no longer under the hand of God.

But you are.

You can think that there is no hope for you because you have believed that it was your perfection and your "getting it" that kept you in the beginning.
When it wasn't.
If you have believed and called on the Name of Jesus, you are saved and you are still in the game.

The purpose in speaking of hell on Friday was not to make you feel a certain way.
Salvation is not a feeling.

God wants us to understand the state that we put our selves in apart from Him.
I'm not just talking about not attending a church or doing what other folks believe you should do.

I'm talking about our heart attitude and how it will reflect what we know about who God is.

The Lord doesn't want us to feel guilty, He wants us to choose Him over hell because He loves us.
People may want you to feel guilty, punish you and shun you, but God is not doing that, that's their flesh.

God wants us to learn to walk after His Spirit In Christ Jesus and not the flesh because in here lies no condemnation.
Romans 8:1,2
Flesh walking is where guilt lives.

Let's look at what God is doing.

Ephesians 2:4-6

4... But God, who is rich in mercy, for His great love wherewith He loved us.

5 Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ,

(by grace are ye saved;)

6 And hath raised us up together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus...

I just want to thank God that His love for us was not dependant on our behavior.

It is not dependant upon the amount of ability, works or goodness that we walk in.

If it was dependant on how good we are the Apostle Paul would have never been saved.
But God commendeth (showed, proved) His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Right where you are, right now where you are not doing everything that everybody thinks you should do, Christ died for you.
Don't forget that.

Romans 5:12

..As by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned...

Romans 5:15

But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

God made it so that where sin abounded, grace did much more abound.
Where we miss it on such a great scale it still doesn't top the level of grace that God has provided.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world (right in the middle of us not having a clue or doing it right), that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Whosoever believes in Jesus Christ.

We are justified by what we believe not by what we feel or what we do to please one another.

But by our faith which pleases God.

So I am not going to waste time trying to get you to feel a certain way or do what I think you should do.

I want to show you the goodness of God.
If you want to help somebody you show them the goodness of God.
God is good and Jesus is proof.

Ephesians 2:7-9

7 That in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of your selves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

If you are saved and you are out of fellowship you can come back to God, it's not too late if you can see this and you don't have to make an open show of it if you don't want to. You might not be ready for that.

You can come to God right where you are, He loves you and He knows you are hurting or that you are longing for Him.

He is here for you.

He is long suffering and merciful.

He's not preaching that you should be patient and then He has a short fuse.

If you have not made the decision to make Jesus Christ the Lord of your life and receive the free gift of salvation, you can do that now, not because you feel guilty, but because you actually understand the need.
Say,

Father I know who you are and I believe that You have shown your love towards me in that you sent your Son Jesus Christ to take the punishment for my sin on the cross at Calvary. I renounce sin and I ask for You and Christ to come into my heart and be the Lord of my life.

Heaven rejoices at your choice.

You have made a decision to trust God with your life.

It doesn't mean that now everything will automatically go great like daisies and rainbows but it does mean that when things are rough you can count on God to get you over it and see you through it.

Once you do decide to come back to God, it's good and needed to get in among other believer's and be strengthened and learn.

To help you to grow to the place where now your character matches your confession.
Pray about the church that God would have you to attend.
I pray that it be a stick to the Word Bible teaching place that demonstrates it's confession in it's character.

I'm not going to tell you where to go or what to do.

It's wise not to go where God didn't tell you to go and don't do what God didn't tell you to do.

I love you and I pray that this be a blessing to you.

LOVE Y'ALL
