LORD thank You!
If any of you have issues with obeying God the first time, be encouraged.
Although He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered (allowed).
And being made perfect, He became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey(believe on) Him, called by God as High Priest " according to the order of Melchizedek...
Hebrews 5:8-10
You have an advocate with the Father.
Now when He (Jesus Christ) got into a boat, His disciples followed Him. And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He (The Lord Jesus) was asleep.
(They were following Jesus when the wind and the waves whipped up on them)
Listen to that because we sometimes think that it will be a cake walk when we decide to follow Jesus.
It won't always be smooth sailing because you decided to obey God, even when you obey Him the first time without hesitation.
But following Him is worth every last wind, wave, flood, storm and rain drop.
I'm not saying don't obey instantly, always be led of Holy Spirit, don't go in ignorant thinking it will all be peachy.
I am a living witness to that.
Because you believe In Jesus you can ride those waves on out to dry land.
Amen.
Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, "Lord, save us! we are perishing!"
But He said to them, "Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?
[Obey can be translated as (believe/ have faith) and fearful/disobedience can be translated as (unbelief).]
Then He (Jesus Christ) arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.
The Lord spoke to the turmoil and instantly peace and calm arose up just as rapid and forceful as the waves had.
So the men marveled, saying, "Who can this be, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?"
What manner of man is this!
Let's think about this just a little bit, what does this means.
It means that these forces of nature heard The Lord Jesus, and not only heard Him but believed what they heard and took heed to His instruction.
The water heard Him.
JESUS!
Do you know who you serve?
For real.
Faith came by hearing.
Not by hearing just any old thing or any old voice, but hearing The Anointed One.
If the wind, the sea water and it's waves can believe in Jesus the first time that He speaks...
If a clouds know who He is the first time that He speaks...
And greater is He in you and me than He who is in the world, what are we able to do?
Whatever God told us to.
Our challenge of faith is rarely on the sea in a natural storm but it's in the soul.
When the storm of disagreement rages up and crashes into our ego.
Hindering our sails and creating a stronghold in our life.
Oh, but so many of us believe we are obedient the first time.
If we really had obedience the size of a mustard seed, we could say to disagreement, Be thou plucked up at the root, and be thou planted in the sea, because the root is in us.
We can take that truth and grace and cast down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself up against the knowledge of God, and bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.
To the believing of what Jesus has said.
Every thought can cooperate with the Word of God and Christ through the leading power of Holy Spirit.
What manner of man are we?

The Wind and The Waves
No matter what is said, obey the Voice of the Lord your God.
Thank You Father for counting us worthy of Your forgiveness and for speaking to us and for hearing us when we call.
