AMEN!
The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
Psalm 19:7
I talked yesterday about how physicians seek out the cause of symptoms without assuming that they have the answer.
How they don't extend further than information allows.
All of our information is written and we never have to extend further than the written Word of God for our answers.
Another characteristic that I have observed in the physicians that I work with is that they never place guilt upon the patients even if their lifestyle contributed to their condition.
Smoking, drinking, drug abuse, obesity, whatever the case may be they will educate the patient about the risk factors.
Prior to educating the patient they will offer programs that will help them to decrease their risks and or change their habits.
What they don't do if the people reject the help and or teaching is curse them and get upset and do all sorts of ridiculous things to track the patient in their everyday lives.
They allow those grown folks to be grown and they go on about their business treating and caring for the next group who come in.
They are not paranoid about the patients going out into the streets and saying that the doctors here are quacks, they keep on keeping on doing what God called and trained them to do in this earth.
They do serve a purpose in a sinful world.
They tell the patient to look to the future.
There are medical staff who I have witnessed in an indirect way be malicious and intentionally try to produce feelings of guilt and shame in patients.
I guess this is the scared straight tactic.
It doesn't work.
It's the goodness of God that leads men to repent and it's the goodness of men that draw change out of other men.
Many of you out there may be struggling with something right now and I don't know if it's your health or finances or family or relationships, whatever it is, the Lord has a word for you.
You may have heard that your faith just isn't strong enough and if you would just believe you could do what you have to do.
The Word is the thing that helps your faith increase in whatever area you are dealing with.
Because your faith is not in "your faith"
Your faith is to based in what Jesus has done and what He says is possible in His Word.
For instance you may be in a situation where you have been hurt, abused, mistreated or disappointed by an individual and you are having a difficult time forgiving them.
In this life you can't find anyone who hasn't been hurt, abused, mistreated, so you are not unique or alone in this, in this world this is a trouble of it.
No matter what has happened or what any one may have said or done, the forgiveness is more for you than for them.
Yes, it makes you able to go and do what God told you to do.
I always look at how Jesus who demonstrated a righteous anger at the activities that were going on in the temple when He took that cat of nine tales and whipped those money changers out of the house of God.
I get like that at wrong and injustice, I get angry.
I do and I am not the only one.
The LORD witnessed the unrigtheousness but He didn't meditate on it day and night or hold on to that anger.
He lifted it up to The Father and He finished His work.
This is what we have to do, lift it up to The Father and finish our work.
If Jesus held on to what folks did and said about Him, He couldn't have completed His task here.
He would have been too wrapped up in His apologetic rebuttal to get before God in prayer and strengthen His Spirit.
What someone else did or even how they respond after you have forgiven them or made efforts to extend fellowship with them that went unwelcome is not as important as your absolute need to stay in fellowship with The Father.
This summer I had the experience where I made efforts to extend fellowship and reconcile with someone and the efforts were ignored.
Guess what?
It hasn't stopped me from doing what God told me to do every day.
You can't pray effectively when your mind is concentrating on that garbage, and those tacky prayers of disdain for the other person ain't going no further than the roof of your mouth.
So forgive and know that it's done.
Jesus said:
" Have faith in God,"
" I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, "Go throw yourself into the sea.' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.
Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.
Our faith is in God.
A mountain represents something that we believe is too difficult to move or cast out of the way. You may believe right now that your problem or grievance is just too big or too hurtful or too impossible to cast into the sea.
But it's not with Christ.
All things are possible with God.
Unforgiveness is a burden and a weight and it disturbs our spirit and keeps us from hearing from and receiving from the Father.
I'm not telling you to keep your self open for continued attacks because as we are required to forgive we are not under any biblical obligation to continue a relationship with anyone who we don't have peace about the relationship.
Some preach a doctrine of God's sovereignty that holds you trapped in an unrighteous situation
saying that God knew it would happen.
God has worked it out when He said peace I leave you, not as the world gives.
God knows that men have the nature to sin in them but He doesn't require that a woman stay with a man who is an adulterer or who abuses her sexually, mentally, physically, emotionally or other wise.
This is what the LORD gave me to share with my sister who is living in the world of prostitution right now.
She's coming out in Jesus Name.
Don't allow people to lay guilt trips on you and make you believe that you have run from God because you have discontinued a relationship with them.
Love them, pray for them, but you are not tied to anybody other than your spouse and God for a lifetime.
Don't allow the enemy to exploit your soul by pouring guilt on a subject.
His attempt is to put a block between you and God.
God loves you and once you acknowledge your mistake or mess up or whatever, receive the forgiveness that God gives and move forward.
1John 1:9
Guilt and shame runs from God and you have not turned from God because you left a church or a religious organization.
Pray about where you belong, the Lord will show you.
And we are not ashamed In Christ Jesus.
Romans 8:1-16
Holy Spirit conviction and faith runs to God.
Don't ever put the Word down especially if you miss the mark in an area, this is an opening for the enemy to get a foothold in.
Don't give him an inch.
Submit your selves to God.
Come near to God.
Consider these scriptures today.
Matthew 9:6; Mark 2:10
Love Y'all
