SAVED AND NOT DECEIVED

HOW CAN OUR JOY BE FULL?

The Bible teaches us in 1 John that our joy can be full by walking in the light.
God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all.

If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and we are not walking in the truth.

Remember Moses gave the law but grace and truth came by Christ Jesus.
If Christ lives in us and we live in Him, we walk in the light of truth as He is the light of truth.
Amen.

We have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ The Son of God cleanses us from all sin.

If we say that we have no sin we deceive our selves, and the truth is not in us.

So often all we hear is 1John 1:9
We need to look at the whole book of 1John.

What is before 1John 1:9 and what comes after 1John 1:9?

If we confess our sins, He is faithful...
Who is faithful?
God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

LISTEN
God is faithful to stand by what is written in 1John 1:7.
...the blood of Jesus Christ cleanseth us from (all) sin.

What is all?
It's all.
What is left after all?
Nothing.

1 John 2:6
He who says that he abides in Him (Christ) ought also himself also to walk, even as He walked.

What does that mean?

That means we ought to walk in the light of the truth of God's grace.

1John 2:12
I write unto you, (little children), because your sins are forgiven you for His names sake.

Notice how John addresses them as little children?

Because grown folks, most elders think they already know everything and they can't receive.

If we don't receive it as humble children...

John said that he wrote these things so that we could understand who we are and that we sin not, but if we did sin we needed to know that we have an advocate in Christ Jesus.

We needed to know 1John 1:7,8,9,10

See anyone can pull a scripture out of a hat to make a point or to influence you into what they want you to do.

But these things were written of God to us so that we might believe on the name the "onoma"
authority and promise of the Son of God; and that we might know in whatever circumstance or situation we have eternal life and therefore we have an inheritance and blessings are available to abound in our lives.

This was written to destroy every work of the devil in our life.
It was written to cast down every imagination and high thought that raises it self up against what God has established through Christ Jesus.

This is how I block every shot.
Everything that the enemy tosses up I am knocking it out.

You know like a goalie in hockey, you gets none here.
I'm slapping them all down.

Let this Word abide in you, you have heard and you understand that Jesus paid for it all.
So act like it.
Walk in that grace, truth and righteousness that Christ suffered to give to you.

Let no man deceive you, you are not under any obligation to receive the opinion of any man or woman.
Let God be true!
Don't exchange the truth of God for anything.

You can learn to seek God, pray and study His Word and hear from Him.

There are a couple of ways to approach the Bible .
You always want to know Who, What, When ,Where and Why?

Who is speaking and who are they speaking to?

What are the things that stand out most in this event? What is the main message? What do the people in this passage believe?

Why did God need to mention this?

Where does it lead?, Where did this happen?

How did it happen?

Is this man or God speaking?
Where in the bible is this confirmed?

Is it being shared within it's proper context or is it being removed and twisted to make a point?
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.

We have to be instructed in righteousness.
All of us don't understand it.
The Word has to be rightly divided or it can be used to keep folks in bondage and thinking that God is the cause of their problems.

People can be deceived by false teaching because they have not understood their righteousness.
They can backslide which is unbelief in the finished work of Jesus Christ at the cross.
A backslider has forgotten about the blood of Jesus believing that it wasn't enough to make them right with God.

I know most folks have been taught that if you smoke or have a drink after you are saved that you have backslidden.
You should leave alcohol alone the Word teaches us to be sober and that strong drink is to be given to those that are perishing.

It's God's best for you to have a clear mind so that you can enjoy the life that Christ suffered to give you.

Backsliding is knowing that Christ died and went to hell and took your punishment to save you from having to face the punishment of the law and then you turning it down and going back to the law, relying on (your behavior) to save you.
It's returning to Egypt.

Saying, "I would rather break my back than have God supply for me."

John 1 said when a man knows that God abides in him, he overcomes the wicked one.

King David said, Blessed is the man who his sins are forgiven.
When you know who you are, sin doesn't have a grip on you, you have the grip.

Oh death where is your sting?
It's been trampled on and destroyed by Christ Jesus!

If He defeated death, He defeated disease and lack, depression and sickness, fear and anxiety.

Seek the LORD through His Word.

The inductive method is just one way to begin to seek God's face, you don't however build a doctrine out of this.
Holy Spirit will lead, teach and guide.
Look at the Word as the grace and truth that it is.

If you are saved don't be deceived.

Consider the book of 1John today in your study time.
It's five chapters and they give the commandment of God under the New Covenant.

Love Y'all :)
