THE KINGDOM

Let the Holy Spirit teach this morning.

You might want to meditate Proverbs chapter 2 before you read this so that pride and ego won't keep you from hearing what The Spirit of the LORD has to say.

It's all love.
Sowing the Word.

He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;
The field is the world; The good seed are the children of the Kingdom;

but the tares are the children of the wicked one;
The enemy that sowed them is the devil;
the harvest is the end of the world and the reapers are the angels.

This is our LORD
Master and Saviour speaking here.
Christ Jesus our great and High Priest
The Rabbi our teacher.

He is describing two types of sowers.
He is describing two portions of one harvest, wheat and tares.
The tare is the outside bitter portion of the grain, the seed is the sweet fruit on the inside.

One will blow away and be burned and the other will be received into the Kingdom of God.

The LORD describes the seed as the children of The Kingdom. The life is in the seed (John 1:4)

What is it that makes you more than a creation of God but a child of God?
Christ Jesus is who gives you power to become a Son of God when you receive Him.
It's not anything that you can boast of.
It's not your faithfulness it's His.

The sower sows the Word, Christ Jesus is the seed that was sown into this earth to make you and I holy, righteous and acceptable to God.

The sower sows the Word.
The sower doesn't sow the law.
The sower doesn't sow behaviour modification.
The sower doesn't sow faith because faith comes by hearing the Word.

The Word is Christ Jesus our redeemer.

John 1:1-5
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The same was in the beginning with God.

All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made.

In Him was life; and the life was the light of men

And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

What is it that makes you good seed?
Is it behaviour modification?
John 1:12

No, it's not an outward circumcision.
It's not because you cut your hair, took off your black nail polish, stopped being drunk and go to church or you watch out for your elderly neighbor.
It's nice if you do all of those things.

It's an inward circumcision of your heart, the heart that has believed on The Authority of Jesus Christ's birth, death, burial and resurrection to make them clean of all sin, that In Christ and by His blood you are forgiven once and for all by God.

It's not you praying with your self in front of crowds.
It's not what you do when everyone can see you.

It's the hidden man of the heart and what he does when no one is watching that The Father rewards openly.
Everything else you scraped up on your own, and anything that you scraped up in your power will be burned up.

Christ Jesus is Lord.
I'm not trying to be deep, get behind me satan, you will not be a stumbling block for the Word of God.
You do not mind the things of God but the things of men.

Jesus came unto His own and His own received Him not. (Mark 6:4)
But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His Name:
Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
John 1:11,12

The Jews were chosen to have The Son of God be birthed into this world through their line.
We were called to partake in that heritage.

Many are called but few are chosen.
They will not all come to Christ, but greater works would we do said our Lord and Saviour.

The words in Holy Scripture and the Words spoken by our LORD were not written to only relate to the men and women who worked in a more agricultural society.

These words were written for posterity, for us who are not all farmers, shepherds and fisherman.
But some who are lawyers, carpenters, architects seamstresses, glassblowers, potters, beggars, masons, cooks, athletes, doctors, soldiers, teachers, priests, politicians, midwives, ship and boat builders, iron workers, mathematicians, computer analysts, models, secretaries, just like in that age.

Everyone will not drive a tractor or plant and grow wheat literally.

Jesus spoke and it was written for us who live in a more technological society as well.
Jesus said in Mark 4:11
It is given unto you to know the mystery of The Kingdom of God but unto them that are without all of these things are done in parables.

Those that are without what?
Understanding, natural affection, unloving. (Romans 1:31)
Faith comes by hearing and seeking to understanding what you have heard or it is stolen.

Hidden, but the kingdom kids search it out because they want to know their God, because this is not religion but a relationship.

God can be comprehended by those who belong to Him and seek His face.

On the foreheads of those who do not understand this will be written MYSTERY because they were blinded by pride and they refused the simplicity that is Christ.
They will be the tares.

It's Christ that makes the seed good.

Study John 5 and see how when Christ came He established His Word above the law.
Jesus told that man who had laid cripple all of his life to Rise, take up his bed, and walk.
Immediately the man did just that.

That man was not condemned to be crippled or sick, the enemy held him down with the law for 38 years, it wasn't the man being too lazy to roll over to the pool, he was bound by the law.
Fear of punishment.
Jesus took care of that. (Hebrews 2:14,15)

Even those who satan has blinded their eyes and whom he has had them bound and bent over for 20 years can be loosed from their infirmity if the Word is sown.
That's atheists, other cultures and religions and even the ungodly Christian.

The Jews said to this healed man that it was not lawful for him to carry his bed on the sabbath.
The man was healed, yet they paid no never mind to that they just wanted their rule, tradition, and religious hand kept in tact.

But there was a new sheriff in town establishing the rule of God that said these men are forgiven in Me.

After Jesus healed the man of the unclean spirit as recorded in Mark chapter five, He said to the man, Go home to your friends, and tell them how are, great things the Lord has done for you, and has had compassion on you.

It's Christ Jesus that makes the seed good and acceptable to God.
Is that deep or is that simple enough?

How do you know that the Kingdom of God has come unto you?

John 3:17

You don't sow faith, God has already given every man a measure of faith.
The sower sows The Word.
Because faith comes by hearing and understanding the Word.

Jesus is The Word.

Jesus said,
Every scribe which is instructed unto the Kingdom of Heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.
Matthew 13:52

I'm not trying to be deep, I'm doing what God told me to do.

Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees.
Find out what that leaven is.
You won't find out what it is by studying me.

You find that out by studying, comparing and contrasting what the Pharisees said versus what our Lord said.

The Kingdom
