LIFE IN CHRIST

THANK YOU FATHER.
This is not a devotional.
It's from my heart to yours.

The Bible says that Christ is the end of the law for everyone who believes.

Isaiah the prophet asked,
Who has believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
Isaiah 53:1

What is the report?
Because if you don't have the report, you don't have the opportunity or ability to believe it.

The report is this:
That Christ Jesus is the end of the law(10 commandments) for everyone who believes In Him as being the fulfilling of the law.
You are not saved if you do not believe that Christ fulfilled the obligation of the law.

How can they believe that Christ Jesus is the end of the law if something else is being preached?

The Apostle Paul taught how there were those who had a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.
This has been a truth throughout the history of man.

Many believe that there is a God and He is good, gracious, loving, merciful and wants to prosper them.
Yet because they are ignorant of God's righteousness go about to establish their own righteousness.

We can be willingly ignorant, meaning our ignorance is based in a lack of desire to understand, or we can be just plain deceived, lazy or prideful.

I won't be lacking knowledge where God is concerned.
I refuse to be deceived.
I will not walk in pride or unforgiveness.
I will not be lazy.
I will not be where God told me not to be.

The Word says that there were some who had not submitted them selves to the righteousness that God Himself provides.

We should learn what happened to those who decided that they wanted to be ruled by something other than God and submit our selves to understanding their error so that we don't repeat it and we can lead others away from it.

Submit.
That word is used often and often twisted and misunderstood.
We can all look up Webster's definition to help understand the generic meaning of submission.

Where God's righteousness is concerned the word to me means to:
(rely totally and exclusively upon and as a result cooperate with.)
There is only one who we can rely totally and exclusively on.

And when we choose to put our trust anywhere else it's misplaced and it will lead us to be misplaced.

Listen to an example.

History records that early on God The Father established judge's to rule and He equipped those judge's with His wisdom.
Then a time came when the people did not want to rely on The Father and the judge's to rule, they wanted something else to look to.

This could be traced back to 1 Samuel chapter 8 when Israel desired to be ruled by a king.
The LORD warned the people what would happen through His prophet Samuel when they made the decision to exalt a man above Him, but the people persisted.

So God gave the people what they asked for, a king in Saul.

No matter what we follow in this life there will come a day when every knee will bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is LORD.

The difference between knowledge and wisdom is that knowledge heard but wisdom listened and obeyed.

So not wanting to submit to God meant that the people didn't want to be ruled by or rely on God.
They wanted to do their own thing and would rather submit to men that they chose.
Someone who they thought could relate to the feelings, infirmities and desires of their heart.

Someone who wouldn't be so iron clad in enforcing the Word of God.
But we know that God has got to stand by His Word.

There is a reason certain politicians are selected, either to serve the best interests of the people or special interests of them selves.

No one has our best interest at heart like The Father does.

Because The Father owns the cattle on a thousand hills, His retirement or mansion is not going to be put ahead of your welfare.

The people had a zeal for God but not enough zeal to submit to His rule exclusively.
The zeal that they had was in God's law on stone but not in their hearts.

The law that God had given by Moses to the people when they built that idol golden calf, long before they just went right on ahead and decided that they didn't want The Father to go before them fight their battles for them.
1Samuel 8:20

So the people get their king but a king has to be equipped.
God gives a king dominion which is rule, every kingdom is established by rule.

Without knowledge it's hard to rule.
Only The Father is ALL KNOWING.
So if any man lacks wisdom, it would do him well to ask of God who gives to all who ask, and He gives liberally and will not hold back.
Amen.
But they didn't want God's counsel, they wanted to know what men thought.
Psalm 1:1-2

So in order to help man in his endeavor to rule himself, God warns them of what will be the result of their decision.

God always gives us a warning.
He never forsakes us, it's men that forsake Him.

Just like the law was weak and had no power to save, men turned to other men who had not the strength of God to save.
The only power the law has is the power to condemn.
I compare the law to man's own ability because that it what it relies upon, and it has been proven to be weak.

Do you know what proved that the law was weak?

The proof was in that a blood sacrifice was still required annually for man's sin.
Because man couldn't keep to his own law.

Paul teaches this using himself as an example in Romans chapter's seven and eight, saying,
His natural man is not capable.
His spirit wants to do God's Will but he says evil is present encouraging him to do the things that he knows are not pleasing to God.

That ain't just Paul, that's everybody.

We live in a fallen world where evil is ever present and the only way to overcome it is by God through His Son Jesus.

Paul taught that the part of man that was exposed to sin and opposed to God in the beginning can't be subject to the law, rule or Word of God.
Romans 8:7
This is why they wanted to rule them selves, that's the old man, the fallen man pre Christ.

This is the part that is ignorant of God's righteousness.

So what do you do with the ignorant man in you?
You find out what God's righteousness is and follow it so that you can crucify the ignorant man.
You want to place your self behind that which can protect and save.
That's what it means to follow.
John 12:26

It is always better to obey God.
Amen

So we have established that the law was weak like natural men in that it has no power to save.
I know you may wonder why would God give them something that was impossible for them to do?

To show men which of them is The Creator and which is the created.
To show whose arm has the strength.

For example,
Moses was given a rod from God when He was called to lead the Hebrew slaves from Egypt's rule.

And whenever Moses was given instruction from The Father, he lifted it up and miraculous things happened.

The power and strength of God was in the rod.
If God wasn't in the rod, Moses would have just been holding up a big stick until his arms got tired.

The strength is not in the man and it's not in the bat.

In Exodus chapter 17 the Israelites faced an enemy in Amalek.
Moses sent Joshua up against Amalek into battle.

During the battle Moses, Aaron and Hur went up to the top of a hill and when Moses held up his hand, Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.

But Moses hands were heavy (weak); and they(his brothers) took a stone, and put it under him, so that he could sit (because there is a limit to what man can do)
And Aaron and Hur held up Moses hands, until the sun went down and Joshua defeated Amalek.

I know somebody is thinking, (It was God who held up Aaron's hands and Hur's hands because they were willing to help Moses.
And that this was to demonstrate Moses' need for help from his brethren.)
I haven't found a witness for that yet in anything that Christ said in the New Covenant.

We do need one another, but don't pervert that need.

I do know that the Word witnesses that ALL of our help comes from The LORD.

Moses was chosen by God to bring the law and also to represent it in all of it's weakness.

The Son Of God was chosen to bring salvation by His blood and also to represent the strength of our salvation In Him Self.
John 1:17

The LORD Jesus said,
And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up; that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have eternal life.

A BETTER COVENANT.

The knowledge of sin comes through the law.
Eternal life does not come through the knowledge of law.
If you know what sin is, I have something greater than sin.

If Christ be exalted.
John 3:15
Jesus said,
If I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all unto me.

The gospel which some have not obeyed because they are teaching something else, is that Christ has been lifted up from the earth.
HE WAS DEAD BUT HE IS ALIVE!

Who has really believed this report?
That Christ Jesus is the end of the law where sin and death is concerned.

Because Jesus has not nor could break any law, this is how He could take our punishment in His body.

The crutch of the law is guilt and guilt is what holds it up, it has no strength of it's own.
What happens when you take the crutch of guilt away from the law?
It's fulfilled.

That is what Christ Jesus did for us.
Jesus came and kicked that crutch out from under the arms of the law fulfilling it for us, so that we would have the opportunity to be made righteous through Him.

It's by the mighty hand and arm of God that we can say that we have been redeemed and provided for.
Understand the strength of God's hand.
Once you are in His palm, nothing can snatch you out of it.
Once His arms are lifted up over your life they are not coming down.

God closes doors that no man can open and opens doors that no man can shut.
The mighty right hand, forearm and shoulder of God, no man can muscle in on that.

If you understand this you are now able if you have not to come to Christ, to come.
I don't want you to just think happy thoughts, I want you to have the knowledge of God that will produce joy in the middle of storms.

I want these words to restore the hope that the devil has stolen.

Receive Jesus today.
Call on the Name Jesus and ask Him to come into your heart and save you, help you, teach you and be your LORD.
You are forgiven of God when you do this.
Because by calling on His Name you have acknowledged that you are a sinner and you desire The Saviour.

The Father says,
All day long I have stretched My hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people.

Who do you think the gainsaying and disobedient folks are?

Those who have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.
Those who ignore what Christ said in John 3:17
This is disobedience.
Don't be that people who will preach and teach contradictory to His Word.
Double minded.
Acts 13:45

If you have desired and called on The LORD Jesus to save you and believed in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you are saved, born again, made righteous by faith In Christ.
You are now The Righteousness of God.

Therefore,
No charge or condemnation can be brought to those who are In Christ Jesus, who rely not on their own flesh or the strength of men, but rely totally on the Spirit of God that raised Christ Jesus from the dead.

The same Spirit of adoption that bears witness with our spirit.
That is why I call Him Father.

The law of The Spirit of Life In Christ Jesus has made us free from the law of sin and death.

Isaiah 53:1-12
Romans 8

LOVE Y'ALL :)
