THANK YOU FATHER.
After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of king Herod,
Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, " Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews?" We saw His star in the east and have come to worship Him.
Remember Herod lied and claimed that he wanted to come and worship the Christ child as well.
Herod knew what had been prophesied.
Secretly he called the Magi and found out from them the exact time the star had appeared. He sent them to Bethlehem and said, "Go and make a careful search for the child. As soon as you find him, report to me, so that I too may go and worship him."
After they had heard the kings request, they went on their way, they went on their way and the star in the east went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was.
MY GOD!
When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. As they approached the place they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshipped Him.
Then they opened their treasures and presented Him with gifts of gold and of incense and of myrrh.
And having been warned in a dream not to go back to Herod, they returned to their country by another route.
Matthew 2:1-12
When we stop conforming to the pattern of this world, but take the time to be transformed by the renewing of our minds by the Word of God, we prove what God's Will is and we please Him.
This is what offering your body as a spiritual sacrifice is.
This is true worship.
That is what the Magi did, they worshipped the LORD in spirit and in truth.
When you have repented it means that you have turned from responding and desiring what the world desires and reacting as they do.
They probably would have been rewarded by Herod for giving him the location of The Christ.
Yet when they heard The Word of The Lord warning them in a dream, they followed it.
The Magi showed diligence in their worship by not compromising the safety of
The Anointed One.
You can be in church regularly with hands lifted in song, tears streaming, mouth open, head bowed, on your knees and not ever worship God, because you have a heart and mind filled with reproach.
A reproachful heart is not a repentant heart and therefore it is not a heart of worship.
It isn't a heart that seeks to guard the glory or reflect the glory of God.
That kind of heart that Herod had turned a deaf ear to God to glorify himself.
Herod had not the heart to worship the true and living God.
Herod's heart was filled with perdition and pernicious ways.
Yet he told the Magi that he too wanted to worship The Christ child.
The FATHER seeks worshipers that will worship Him in spirit and in truth.
