THANK YOU FATHER.
Hear this today and take some time out to study and confirm through scripture what you have read.
Amen.
The Bible teaches us that before we received Christ as LORD and Saviour that we were spiritually dead in our sins and transgressions, because we followed the ways of the world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.
Pride, following the lust of the flesh, retaliation.
We know that the prince of the power of the air is satan.
The word disobedient is used so loosely and mostly as a term of manipulation.
But it's a new day and we are no longer using scripture to manipulate people but to save them.
Amen
I looked at this in it's context.
So I asked the Father, What makes a man disobedient in Your eyes?
If any man lack knowledge let him ask of God....
Then I opened up the book.
One form of disobedience would be gratifying the cravings of the sinful nature and following it's desires and thoughts.
Well you know I didn't stop there.
The question now becomes, what are those cravings, desires and thoughts?
The law was given as a basic break down describing those things.
The "Thou Shalt Not's."
All things that no man on his own was able to keep.
Even though some men believed that they were, had and could.
If we had been able The Word would not have needed be born a man.
The LORD came and showed us that we had not kept God's law, in one of His teachings saying,
You have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.
Disobedience just like obedience is a matter of the heart long before or if it ever becomes an action.
Sin is sin in God's eyes and it's carried out in the heart, just like faith is.
If a man believes in His heart.
So just the thought of Beyonce', Halle Berry, Angelina Jolie, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Boris Kodjoe, Ryan Reynolds and the such would have placed us in the position to gratify the cravings of the sin nature.
But you say, "I don't do that, the thought has never even crossed my mind as to what it would be like to be with anyone else but my spouse."
Okay
Well for anyone who has had unholy thoughts, because we live in a world surrounded with things that are created to change and influence your thoughts, I'm talking to you.
I know that most folks believe that sin is just drinking, smoking, adultery, homosexuality, murder, theft, but sin is whenever and whatever you know to do is right and then you not doing it.
The form and fashion of the world is to think whatever it wants, do and say whatever it wants.
We cannot do that.
Preachers can't do that.
Teachers can't do that.
Presidents can't do that.
Police can't do that.
I can't do that.
Not in God's eyes.
When we believe that we can we are following the flesh.
That is what the course of this world does because it is ran by the prince of the power of the air.
This is why we have the Word of God to show us the Way or we would follow after the fashion and form of the world that leads to death.
This is why Christ had to come.
To save us and to set the example that shows us how to walk by the spirit and not the flesh.
The LORD fulfilled in His body through His obedience all of those things that were impossible for us to do in our bodies, in His own body.
Because He did, now we can glorify Him in our own.
How did He do that?
He was obedient until death, death on a cross.
What does that mean and how did He do that?
By not retaliating.
One of the main desires of man is to retaliate, it's the pride of man to do this.
And Jesus represented an unmatched example of humility by not doing this.
He was and is incorruptible.
This is His holiness.
He says, Be holy for I am holy.
Holy isn't a suit and tie and 3 service's on Sunday.
The LORD Jesus could have called legion upon legion of armies of angels to stop His persecution, He could have called angels to stop Pilate's army in the garden of Gethsemane, He could have called upon God to take Him down from the cross before His side was pierced, but He refused to retaliate against all of the ignorance that was pressing against Him, so that we might be saved.
Oh LORD, do you all understand this?
Our LORD could have gratified the craving and desires of His natural flesh to prove who He was to an ignorant people, but it would have not been to our benefit.
Thank God for His example.
When I study the letters of the Apostles I see that most of them write from a place of persecution teaching the readers to in whatever circumstances they face conduct them selves in a manner that glorifies God.
That they be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to wrath.
These letters are written as a safeguard to their souls so that they never put confidence in their own flesh. It would cause them to follow after the flesh's desire through retaliation and rants.
This is damaging to the gospel.
But to follow after the spirit reveals the glory set by Christ on The Cross.
See, this obedience has been twisted to mean you should put up with all sorts of nonsense from other saints and just be a footstool, but it doesn't mean that at all.
It means to follow God and by no means do you have to retaliate.
Anyone who would go out of their way to figure how to manipulate your choices or speak words that are meant to stir up trouble for you is not one who walks after the spirit of God.
This is the act of walking after the flesh.
They have chosen to gratify the sinful cravings of the flesh, pride.
Because He who believes on The Name of Christ also believes in God and will have no need to do this.
When ever a man makes it his business to come to my work place and camp out looking for me or survail what I am doing in order to indirectly try and influence me with rants they are following the flesh.
He may be offended in some way and so his thought is to give me a piece of his mind, but his offense and his anger is not allowing the righteousness of God to work.
Now disobedience is displayed by this person not believing on the Name of the One who He sent.
Your message and your conversation will always be the fruit of your heart.
Words filled with thorns and thistles have no fruit bearing ability.
If you believe God is faithful you allow patience to have it's perfect work.
Patience is a bit in the mouth of the horse of faith.
So in bridling our tongue of the sort of behaviour that produces guile, malice and evil, we do the work.
Amen.
The tongue can't be tamed by man, it can only be tamed by The Spirit of God.
But the unruly tongue is the one that is at work in the children of disobedience.
Walking after The Holy Spirit of God will prevent us from fulfilling the lust of the flesh.
We can be very discipline in many other areas and have our mind made up about lots of things that won't have an effect on the souls of others or our own, but this is very important to our purpose here in this earth.
It is key to our emotional well being In Christ Jesus.
Therefore we must tighten up the thoughts and meditations this year because whatever is in the heart was birthed in the thoughts and is gushing out of the mouth.
Think on and study:
Ephesians 2:1-5
1 Peter 1:13-25; 1Peter 2:1-3
If we understand His Grace and His Truth we operate in it obediently and it truly blesses our soul because it glorifies our Father in heaven.
Amen.
LOVE Y'ALL :)
