THE SPIRIT IN YOU

THANK YOU FATHER.

Hey Y'all,

I wrote about my son yesterday in order to share a real life example of God working to teach me and through me to my children.

Whenever I write it is good for the reader to not read anything extra into what I am saying. For instance if I speak about one thing that's the only thing that I am talking about. If I write about four things then those are the four things that I am talking about.

I don't have any hidden meanings or indirect lessons in this blog, I mean exactly what I say on the page.

In teaching my son to see what he was doing he also learned a lesson about being a teacher.
He was ashamed and didn't appreciate being corrected in the beginning.

But I explained to him from scripture that if he wanted to be a teacher to his sister's that he would have to be able to be corrected and held accountable himself.

So I asked him, "Baby, do you want to help your younger sister by teaching her?"
He said" Yes, Mommy I do."

Little Kev learned that The Bible teaches us that not many should become teachers, because a teacher will always be judged by a more strict standard.
James 3:1

I wanted my son to understand that the purpose for his gift of understanding was for him to be able to lead his sister to understanding not Lord over her.

Just like in the body of Christ a lamp is placed in a stand to give light.
That's the only reason for God making any of us known or people following or flocking to you is because you are to lead them to The LORD.

If this is what you do, you are going to be criticized, get used to that.
Jesus was criticized.

What criticism will do for you is it will help to work the fruits of Gods Spirit out to the forefront in you.

Most people believe that they should be exempt from criticism, like my son who was more than willing to criticize his sister's.
It was easy to stand and condemn the girls but my son had to drop his rocks and walk away.
Kevin is learning that when the Bible teaches to remove the beam from his own eye that those words are for him and his sister's.

Whenever we begin to believe that what God is saying in that Word is not for everyone including the teacher, we have just taken the candle out of the lamp stand.

I could allow my son to go through life believing that some things don't apply to him because he is a man and that would make him a man who would try and excuse his behaviour while calling out the behaviour of others.

Or I could teach my son that his logic is a double standard and that double minded people are unstable in all of their ways.

We can't remove our own responsibility when we miss it by being in denial or dismissing it and at the same time want to be rewarded.

I talked to a woman who was a stripper and she was raped and in sharing her story with a couple or male and female Christians, their response was she put her self in that position.

One of the guys actually said that " A man is just a man and when you tease him, he can't be responsible for what may happen."

You know something, No means NO and Stop means Stop even when it comes from a stripper and if the excuse that men are men is going to be used, that is not the fruit of God's spirit speaking.

This is not the mindset that I want my son or my daughter's to have, it is not the Mind Of Christ.

My son is learning that his little light is to give sight to the blind, to comfort those who mourn, to heal the broken hearted, and not create the broken heart, to strengthen the weak, feed, clothe and give shelter to the naked.

We have been taught that the world will follow us to Christ based in our outward appearance and our great citizenship.
The world will follow us based on how closely our judgment is to Jesus Christ and what He said.
When I say judgment I mean judging our own personal actions.

I learned when I met a woman who had such a great personality and was an outstanding and upright citizen through her humanitarian efforts and her dedication to so many things where unmatched in our circle, yet her judgment was off in the most important area of her life.

She is one of the most disciplined women that I know.

I always complement people when I am prompted to, because I appreciate people and I want them to know that.
Every now and then I regret the complement.

I spent time on a project with this marvelous woman who outwardly possessed all of the qualities that would lead you to believe that she was a light.
Only to learn that she believes that Christ is a myth and that God does not exist.

My reason for writing this is that walking by the Spirit is completely different from just having a mild disposition or good habits.

I have relationships with people from other religions who can behave them selves and conduct themselves in a decent orderly and professional manner, they have moral convictions, yet they don't have the Holy Spirit of God or His fruit dwelling in them.

What they do is so that people will glorify them and think well of them, what we do is so that people glorify our Father and think well of Him.

Matthew 5:16

Understand this guys,
The Father doesn't look at us the way a lender looks at us, a lender will look at your habits and make a decision based on your habits whether you deserve to use their money and are a risk worth taking. They based their decision about you by asking "Will this person be able to pay me back based on their track record?"

To God you are absolutely worth the risk of sending His Son to die and redeem you from the debt of sin.
It is not based on your track record, it's based in Christ's who sinned not nor opened His mouth when He was criticized.

The Father knows that there is no good thing in us until He puts it there and that we are not able to pay Him back.
The world system has it's way and The Father has The Righteous way.

Unless a man is born again he doesn't possess a natural goodness.
There is no good even in the upright citizen in God's eye's.

You may know people who are sweet as pie and wouldn't say anything or do anything to disturb the course of anything, but apart from Christ they do not have The Holy Spirit in them, therefore they will not possess or operate in the fruit of God's Spirit.

And then you will know people who are not perfect natural citizens but the fruit of God's Spirit is developed in them creating first a good spiritual citizen and then out to the forefront in their lives over time making them good natural citizens.

Do you guys understand this?
Don't put the cart before the horse.

Matthew 5:16
Romans chapters 2 and 3
James 3
Think on this one this weekend because judgement will begin with us.

LOVE Y'ALL :)
