THE ANCHOR FOR OUR SOUL

THANK YOU FATHER.


REPENT.
What is it that The Father wants men to change their minds about?
That's what repentance is about.

The Father promised to engrave His truth in our minds and on our hearts.
The law of our thinking would be changed.

Paul said that in men there is a law in our mind that is opposed to the law in our flesh.
You can say the prayer of salvation and if your mind isn't changed truly with the understanding that you have been redeemed, whenever something contrary appears or is said, you will doubt that you are saved.

That is the lesson taught in Mark 4.

You will believe that God has not given you everything that pertains to life and godliness, this was Eve's problem and that is the seed of disobedience.

The Father wants men to know the truth about what it is that saves, forgives, delivers, gives us the right to be called a son of God, redeems, makes righteous, blesses, and renders us highly favoured and holy in the sight of God.

What else is it that God The Father wants men to really know?
That because He loved us in our sin He gave a New Covenant In His Son, where He would be merciful and would remember our sins no more.

Why do we need that information?
Because if we don't know, how can you know that you are saved.
In a world where other men try and measure your salvation based in their own philosophy and not in what Christ has done.

There is danger in that.

It's vital that if we have given our life to Christ to know Him, so that our conscience(the way we think about our salvation) can be cleansed from dead works to serve the living God.

What does that mean?

Allow The Holy Spirit to share some truth that will help cleanse your conscience.

Sin is sin and a fault is a fault like bleach is bleach.
The only difference is that one of the above will keep you bound for eternity yet none are a match for The Power of God.

Salvation through faith In Christ Jesus is The Power of God working in you.

When we understand that sin, faults or bleach can't compare to or stand up to the power of God In Christ Jesus, we eliminate our chances of being lead astray.

Because Christ Jesus lead captivity captive I can't be lead captive.
I will not be bound.
Not because of my own ability or strength to withstand but because Christ withstood.

The only way that a man or woman in Christ can be bound by anything is if Jesus is bound.
Well, the tomb is empty.
It's not knowing and understanding the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ that binds a man.

I pray that men come to understand their salvation because this will free a lot of folks when they understand what Christ has done and where He is and what His promises are.
He is alive.

What can hold a living God captive when the grave couldn't?
Seriously?
I want you to really think about this and weigh your troubles, vices, sins, habits or faults up against that question.
Because if God is bound then you are.

Who or what can hold a living God hostage who rendered powerless the power of sin and death?
This is how we throw off anything that weighs us down.

There really are only two powers at work in the heavens and in the natural:
The power of sin and death and The power of Life In Christ Jesus by The Spirit.

Now either you have been redeemed from the power of sin and death and live in the power of the Spirit or you are bound still.

If you are bound you don't know that you don't have to be.

In Christ, know that Jesus threw off principalities and powers it's written and recorder that He did.
What can lay hold of a God who has done that?
Our confidence is in Him and Christ is our strong tower.
We run into Him and we are saved.

Only a God who is free and alive forever can free you for all time.
Anything that is bound and weighed down or dead can't cut you loose.

The only way that a man or woman In Christ can be hindered is if God's hand is shortened, and God's hand is not shortened.
God's hands are not tied.
A God who came to set the captives free is not tied up Himself.

Because Christ Jesus is The eternal God risen, I am an eternal woman.
Because He lives, I live.

And because I know that Christ will never be held captive by anything ever, I have an anchor for my soul and I won't be lead away weighed down with sins that Christ already threw off for me.

Will never be lead away from believing that all of my sins have been taken care of in Christ.

Even when the soldiers came and took The Lord Jesus captive and brought Him before Pilate and The chief priests, The LORD Jesus told them that they would have no power over Him except it was given them by His Father.
So even in His captivity He had the power.

Someone may tell you that you are bound by something and I tell you that Christ is not bound by anything.
This type of thinking is what the Bible calls having a form of godliness and denying the power of God.
Stop listening to that stuff.

All power and authority was given to The LORD Jesus in heaven and in the earth.
You don't have to be bound in your soul for one more second.

Redirect the meditation of your heart and mind to the faithfulness and obedience of Christ.

If He is not your LORD call on His Name, confess your sins and receive Him and His Spirit to dwell in you.

This means that we have laid aside that heavy weight of meditating on our sins, because that is the thing that so easily surrounds us hindering us from trusting In The LORD and moving forward in Him.

That is why Jesus came, to lift that burden and He did.
Listen Y'all.

That great cloud of witnesses learned to cast off their own deeds looking to the author and finisher of their faith, Jesus Christ.

We too, cast off anything that leads us to look away from the finality of Christ's work on the cross and all that He accomplished for us when He rose from the grave.

Know this, because this is how you will be able to cast down imaginations and every high thought that lifts itself up against the knowledge of God and run this race with endurance.

The only thing that ever tries to lift itself up against what God has declared is deceit and doubt.

Entrench your self in the LORD.
When your heart is so full of this truth, when this is your meditation day and night, there is no room for doubt, the enemy has no foothold and no binding power.
Because you confidently rely on the truth of knowledge that Christ rendered the power of sin and death useless.

Think on these things.
