THANK YOU FATHER.
I remember when the Enron scam was first reported and when the news began to broadcast the conversations of the brokers.
I remember how scripture came to mind from Luke that said,
...If you have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own?
No servant can serve two master's: for either he will hate the one, and love the other. You cannot serve God and money.
That's what came to my mind then and the Holy Spirit is bringing it back to my memory today.
These words were spoken by the Lord Jesus Christ and recorded by Luke the physician a disciple of Christ.
As I look at how men are trying to prevent and or hinder other men from being able to fulfill and exercise a constitutional and God given right and privilege, the right to vote, I see hatred.
And it will not be tolerated, it will be exposed for what it is and God will not be used as a banner in this age to promote it.
So every evening and morning I ask The Father what is it that He wants me to write about and He shows me.
The Holy Spirit sent me to Luke chapter 16 where The Lord Jesus is teaching.
Now as The LORD taught the lesson about the unjust stewards there were Pharisees within ear distance who heard His teaching.
Like the impotent one's who read this blog.
The scripture says that they derided Him.
It didn't move Christ and doesn't move me.
The LORD went on to teach about the hypocrisy among these men and since I am His child and He is my Father, I go on In Him.
The Lord Jesus spoke about a certain rich man.
It has been taught that when the holy scripture describes anyone as a certain man, this was an actual man and not a parable.
The Lord Jesus said:
There was a certain rich man which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day:
And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, who was laid at his gate, full of sores, And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dog's came and licked his sores.
And it came to pass that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;
And in hell he(the rich man) lift up his eyes being in torments, and saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.
And he(the rich man) cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he might dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.
But Abraham said, Son, remember that in your lifetime you received good things and Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted and you are tormented.
And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from us to you cannot; neither can they pass to us that would attempt to come from where you are.
Then he(the rich man) said, I pray thee therefore, father, that you would send him (Lazarus)to my father's house:
For I have five brother's; that he may testify to them, lest they also come into this place of torment.
Abraham said to him, They have Moses and the prophet's, let them hear them.
And he (the rich man)said, No father Abraham, but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.
And he (Abraham) said unto him (the rich man), If they hear not Moses and the prophet's, neither will they be persuaded though one rose from the dead.
Now in this lesson The LORD Jesus is saying a whole lot to a whole lot of folks.
He speaks of one risen from the dead and those who will not be persuaded by the risen one.
The LORD speaks of how men desire a sign and they will not be given one.
Based in the information given by The Lord Jesus how did the rich man end up in torment?
What would be your advice to men like the certain rich man?
Because this is not speaking to all wealthy men or women but the lesson is for all.
I would say, "You better live it up now baby because if you don't change the way you think about money and those who have not, torment will be your eternal resting place."
And if you believe what Jesus Christ has said, you would be well within your belief to say that.
Study this scripture out, don't wait like a certain rich man did, be persuaded today, tomorrow is not promised.
