How do we know that there were founding fathers to this country?

Is it because we have sat and had lunch with them or played a round of golf with them?
No, it's because their lives and their works are recorded.

So should I not discuss American History with my children because I haven't sat at a table with George Washington?
Is this a subject that I should leave up to my children to decide if it's relevant or not to their living?
No it's not.

If my children ask how this country began should I say, I don't know because this is something that I'm not sure about.
Why should I believe that it started the way that history records it?

Because there is not simply one group of people who recorded it, the evidence for how it started comes from multiple sources and ethnicities.
The Bible teaches that if any man lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that gives to all men liberally.
God is not irritated by questions, men are.
But the only way to gain understanding from God is by coming to Him believing that He is where the answer is.

If you are going to go to a man for answers that man better have already gone to God and gathered some answers.

God is not a mystery.
His words are written for our learning.

The reason a man will stay in a position of not knowing is because he fails to ask the questions of The One who knows the answer.
A man of pride won't draw near to God he would rather make up an answer.
You have not the answer because you ask amiss, but if you go to God with a humble heart, you would get great understanding.

Who are you asking?
You want the wisdom that comes from above.
