BIBLE FAITH
Thank You Father.
As I reflect and remember the tragedy of terrorism that rocked this country on September 11 ten years ago I am reminded of how fear is never a bargaining tool with righteous people.
The Lord led me to study 2 Corinthians chapters 4 and 5 and He showed me how at a time when disciples of Christ were being persecuted in great number how Paul encouraged the people not to fix their eyes on what was temporary.
Throughout the Bible we are taught not to focus on material things or outward appearances but to focus on the fact that our blessing is in that our sins are forgiven in and through Christ.
Paul teaches the disciples that our confidence is not to be focused on anything else but our position in Christ,
because this is what will cause us to continue in Him.
The Word Of God says He who has ears to hear let him hear.
Everyone can hear but not everyone gains understanding.
The body ages and it is attacked physically from within and without but we don't operate by fixing our eyes on the temporary state of our physical makeup
Or our material gain.
This is what faith means.
Our Faith is in something.
One.
It is in someone.
Faith is not a blind leap.
If a man is instructed to count up the cost, this is not a blind walk.
If a man is instructed to have counsel, this is not a blind walk.
Neither blind nor ignorant.
Peter didn't step out on the water walking without having an understanding of who he was walking towards.
The Lord told Peter, It's me, Come.
