THE URGENCY

THANK YOU FATHER!

Jesus asked His first disciples this question:
Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves;
For a friend of mine in his journey has come to me, and I have nothing to set before him?
And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee.

I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.

You have an unexpected guest, she shows up soaking wet on your door step.
Because things happen that we don't have control over, so your unexpected guest Irene shows up and you were not prepared to feed Irene and her family, so what are you going to do?
Turn her away?
No Irene ain't going anywhere, she came and she isn't leaving until she is fed, kind of like a Hurricane.

So you go to your friend for help.
Who do you go to and get up out of their nice cozy bed of comfort?
People who you know have the capabilities and resources to help.
Amen!
The Lord said that the friend doesn't get out of bed in the cold of midnight and help you just because he is a friend but because of the urgency of the situation he gets up and gives you as much as is needed.

This is Christ teaching a lesson.
Jesus didn't make the neighbor's response, I paid for my bread and I didn't ask for any handouts!
But neighbor can you pay for your sins too!
Do you have enough of that rainy day fund saved up for that?
I don't think so.
Meditate on this and see this through the teachings of Christ Jesus.

Love Y'all :)
