LORD,
I THANK YOU FOR THIS GOSPEL.
Can what is holy and acceptable be legislated?
Yes it can.
But will it be adhered to because it has become a law of state?
Not necessarily.
We have many laws on the books and they have not all stemmed from righteousness.
Man cannot pass a law that changes the way another man thinks.
We know that salvation is the beginning of change, and this begins with faith in what the Word Of God says.
Well that faith only comes by hearing and understanding that Word.
If the mind is darkened by unbelief no law will change it.
Salvation is not enforced, it's received by faith freely.
Deliverance is not enforced, it's received by faith freely.
Healing is not legislated, it is received by faith freely.
Rape, robbery, murder, prostitution, drug trafficking, polygamy, fraud all of these things are against the law.
Yet the law has not been able to stop folks from committing these acts.
On the whole people don't refrain from doing these things because of the law, they refrain from doing them for getting caught.
So the man who his mind is not renewed by the the Will of God will only seek to find a way to break the law without being caught.
But once a man receives the mercy of God through salvation, through faith in Jesus Christ, through the preaching of the Gospel.
He can go on to no longer be conformed to this world and it's system
( way of thinking and doing)
but being transformed by the renewing of his mind that he may show through his choices what is that good and acceptable, and perfect will of God.
How can a law be passed that is righteous when the heart of the law makers don't understand righteousness?
Sin cannot be legislated out of a man's heart.
Abortion, same sex marriage, fornication any of it.
The heart of man has to be cleansed with the blood of Jesus.
The gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth.
You won't ever get a man to believe what pleases him is wrong even if it is against God without their heart first belonging to God.
Once their heart belongs to God they grow to no longer seek to please themselves but to please the Father who has shown mercy upon them in their sin and darkness.
Change is not legislated it's preached and proclaimed first.
The Word of God has already established who will not be allowed into the kingdom of God. Preach mercy and proclaim truth and if they accept it, Praise God and if they don't, Praise God and keep on proclaiming.
Yes the people do rejoice when the righteous are in authority.
When the righteous take authority over the situation.
You don't have to be elected to state office to take authority over the situation.
You have been elected by God to take authority in prayer and in proclamation of His Word.
You In Christ are the living, walking, talking, breathing legislation.
Jesus said, all power has been given to Him in this earth so that His disciples can go and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.
Amen.
Don't be mad at me it's the truth.
Moses was given legislation and it didn't work, we do need to have knowledge of sin but if the law alone worked we wouldn't need Jesus.
Men have to be drawn to Jesus before real change is manifested.
Selah
Love
