THE COMFORT OF THE SCRIPTURES

For whatever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
Romans 15:4

Our spiritual standing (our true relationship with God the Father, Christ the Son and Holy Spirit) affects our attitude about everything.
It affects our attitude about walking in divine health.
It affects our attitude about what faith and the manifestation of that faith really means.
It has a profound affect on how we react and relate to the attitudes of others and the things that are changing and happening around us on a daily basis.

Our spiritual attitude is a gauge of our hope and faith.
This spiritual mind will always reflect outward.

It also affects the way we share our faith with others and how we encourage or discourage one another.
Many have graduated from Bible College but they don't automatically reflect God's Graces.

Spiritual growth is on purpose not magically developed by completing a course.
I am not knocking school and study, I'm going to go myself but I know that I will need more than a diploma to continually reflect God's Glory outward.

It's not in how many hymn's you know or how far you go back with a particular ministry, or memorization of scripture that equips you to comfort and encourage.

It's whether or not those scriptures have become engraved in your heart and written on your spirit.
I don't have a congregation and I am not looking for one, this is for the Lord and who he sends because it's what God told me to do.
I do have people who follow the progress that I make in the Lord but that isn't even my concern.
My concern is that goodness and mercy continue to follow me all the days of my life.

If goodness and mercy is our concern taking care for our spiritual attitude is paramount.

We have been made to be comforters and encourager's not condescending.

Luke 4:18
