THE COMFORT ZONE

GOD IS THE GOD OF COMFORT.

The apostle Paul speaking to the Corinthians explained how he was glad and rejoiced even when they had trouble on every side, had no rest, fear surrounding them, their morale was low and in this low point God sent Titus.

A brother to comfort and encourage them with a good report that their labor was not in vain but that it was accomplishing.

Know that it may be hard at times and it may be uncomfortable but God desires that you be comforted.

Don't ever believe that God wants you to be uncomfortable.
What He wants to do is take you out of your comfort zone which is limited and place you into His comfort zone which has no limits.

He wants you to have the peace that He has in every situation and circumstance.

Some of the callings and tasks God gave to man that are recorded in the bible may seem extreme in some opinions.
God will never give any man an assignment that he will not equip that man to complete.

It was an exceeding extreme assignment that Jesus had, yet the Father gave Him the grace to carry it out.
Yes, Jesus did need the help of the Holy Spirit and God's grace to do everything that he did here, because He was in the world as a man in flesh and blood like we are.

So as He was in the world like we are in this world needing the comfort of God.

And we have it.

God comforts us and has compassion on us, it is the Fathers desire to see us consoled and quickened.
This is why he sent His Holy Spirit here for us.
The Father has not left us out here helpless and in the dark.
Yes we will have trouble we know this, and there is something else that we will have.

A comforter.
And one another.
Psalm 119:50
This is my comfort in my affliction: For thy Word hath quickened me.

There is a Word for every trial, trouble and affliction that will make us rise up out of the trouble and rejoice.

There is a Word that will pick us up and help us to go on when we don't have the natural strength or inclination to do so.

There is a Word that will keep our hearts and minds when every evil is trying to come against it.

Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
Who comforteth us in our tribulation (why?) that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we our selves are comforted of God.
2 Corinthians 1:3,4

That is why God sent Titus to Paul and the saints when they were stressed on every side.
The Lord didn't send Titus to stress the folks out even more, he sent him to be a bearer of good news, encouragement and to help out.

God is not asking us to do outrageous things.
He is asking us to help get His work done in this earth.
He is asking us to have faith, walk in love, obey His Word, feed His people and preach His gospel.

We will have trouble but it won't have us because we have a comforter and a compassionate God who has not sent us to do something without strength.
We are consoled because we are of God who is comfort and lives in us and we in Him.

God's zone is the comfort zone.

Psalm 71:21

Love
