DON'T DEPART FROM THE TRUTH

Rightly divide the Word of truth.

In this day and age of technology you can turn on the television and see preachers on multiple channels.
You can click a mouse and watch sermons all over the Internet.

You can be on your job, on your porch, in the grocery line, at the park on a picnic or at the gym and someone wants to preach to you.

How many of these folks are actually working for God?

I dare say that anyone who will not share the truth with you has no part in God.

Have you ever heard someone say, "I don't have to go to church to know God."?
Do you know why they say that?

Because going to church would remind them of what God requires.
Folks who are not for Jesus for real don't want to go anywhere where the real may be taught.
They want to be somewhere where their attitude is accepted, where their choices against the Word Of God are not mentioned as sin.

I can't always be at church because of my job, but even if I am not in the building I am at church.

If you go to a church that preaches the Word you learn that church is everyday in the sanctuary and outside of it.

See if you don't go to a Bible teaching church you have walked away from the fellowship that helps to keep you in truth.

You know that if you are not constantly hearing and hearing(understanding) the Word of truth, and I'm talking about Bible preached and taught, not somebody performing and wheezing an opinion, you have nothing to build your faith.

If you don't have friends who are godly and give godly counsel you just put your self right back out in the place where the tempter can trip you up.

All of you lovely women and men of God who hang with these ungodly women and men because you read that Jesus ate with the sinners, yes Jesus ate with the sinners but He didn't take on their ways.

Jesus taught and those who received the truth were those who continued on with Him, those who did not were not found in His camp.

A whole lot of folks go to church on Sunday to star gaze, to look at the cute Pastor, looking for business connections, clientele and hook-ups, to see what so and so is wearing this week, to find a man or a wife, to make themselves feel good for the rest of the day, because if they don't go their momma will be calling them asking,"why didn't I see you in church today?", and to say that they went.

Don't you want to go to grow up and to please God and be around like minded folks?

After working a week around people who don't trust God, honor God or look to God, it is a pleasure to be around the body of people who look to God like you do.

God has provided His Word so that we can grow past the point of obligation and come for Him.

Go to a church that is teaching God's truth.

Go so that you don't depart from the truth.

2 Timothy 2:15-18
