TIME, COMMITMENT, DEDICATION

Bible study is not just reading the Bible.
It is work.
Bible study requires thinking.
As a matter of fact it demands thinking.

The Bible is not a novel that was made into a movie.
It is God's Word directly breathed from God to holy men.

It carries the Father in heavens divine revelation of creation, authority, our history, teaching, instruction, knowledge of sin, repentance, redemption and things to come.

There is substance, life and power behind every book of the Bible and each and every book from Genesis to Revelation serves a divine purpose.

To pull the power from it you must do more than simply read it.
It must be studied.

You may want to read books about it or watch movies about it, or listen to other folks opinions about it, these things have their place.

Nothing can substitute you having your own detailed working knowledge of God's Word.
The book itself, the movie or the person commentating will not be able to speak on your behalf against the tricks of the enemy.

The Word Of God is also a sword for God's children.

You will have to be equipped to stand and speak to the problem.
The Bible is that equipment along with Faith.
Our sword and shield.

People in the world are not just getting crazier and crazier, the Word written in the Bible is coming to pass.
2 Timothy 3:1-7

If you don't have an active understanding, a working faith through knowledge of your relationship to Jesus Christ and His authority, shame on you.

I want you to know Bible study is work and if you say that God is the head of your life this means that at the top of your day and at the top of your decision making, God is who you consult.

Through prayer and time spent in His Word.

It's not your "friends" who you ask, "What do you think?"
It doesn't matter what they think because they can't do in 50 years what God can do in 5 seconds.

2 Timothy 2:15 calls you a "workman" when you take on the job of studying God's Will and His Word.

Our help comes from God who made heaven and earth.

Every man will have to present himself to God one day.
We all will stand before Him giving an account, I don't know about you but I'm not trying to be ashamed on that day.

I wouldn't have you ignorant of the truth as Paul would say.
So don't wander away from the truth, don't allow laziness to destroy your faith.
