CRAFTY

SUBTLE
An ability to infiltrate and penetrate in obscurity.

Suggestion is subtle with the potential to be deadly.
The evil power behind introducing doubt with a mere suggestion.
Elusive, but not elusive to every eye.
Amen.
The enemy has a planned method to trip and trap men.
The devil knows that he is defeated and his goal is to drag as many men down with him to his doom as he can.

God has a plan and if we follow it we will escape the trap of the evil one.
Who ya wit?
Everybody who is willing to follow God's plan, let's go in Jesus Name.

First I want to say that the devil can't make you do anything.
The devils whole method of operation is to provoke you to sin.
He can suggest that you leap off of a cliff but he doesn't have the power to push you.
Suggestion is one of the tricks that he uses to get you to separate your self from God.

The enemy wants you to put your self outside of the garden because he can't get you out on his own, he needs your cooperation.
But we are gaining knowledge today that will help us to cooperate with God's plan.
Amen.

Remember the Incredible Hulk/ Dr. David Banner?
The green guy.
David Banner would say, "Don't (make) me angry, you wouldn't like me when I'm angry."
He would say this to warn people because if he chose to be angry the big green monster in him had an excuse to come out and act a fool.

Well all of you David Banner's of the world, nobody can "make" you angry.
Evil will try all day long to provoke you, yes it will, but God has given His children self control.
A choice or provocation can be introduced to you, but you make the decision to be angry or sin.

We can't resist simply with our raggedy will power we need wisdom and knowledge.

The Hulk was always on the run hiding, hustling and working odd jobs to get buy.
By the toil and sweat of his brow, that's the curse that ain't kingdom success.
David Banner was a doctor and you might find him hustling, hauling logs or slopping hogs to make ends meet.

It was his anger along with trying to alter the natural course of things that put him outside of the realm of living a normal blessed life.
I'm a Marvel fan and I see God in everything.

Let us look again today at the book of Genesis in chapters 2 and 3 and learn how man temporarily lost his position as ruler.
I say temporarily because when the Son of God came in the flesh, He(Jesus Christ) brought back the dominion and authority that Adam handed over.
The Father puts dominion back in the hands of all who repent of sin and receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour.

To review, God made man in His image and likeness from the dust of the ground and breathed the breath of life into him.
God freely gave man everything that he needed to succeed in the earth.
God made man king and ruler over the garden and everything that flew above it, swam on it, or crawled upon it.

Commanding man to expand it, dress it and keep it.
The Father gave instruction. The wisdom and knowledge of God was spoken directly to the man commanding:
...of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it;
for in that day thou shalt surely die.

What happened?
Why is the world in the state that it is in?
Somebody didn't do what they were told.

Go to Genesis 3
God is a spirit.
We are spirits who live in bodies.
The devil is a spirit who has no body of his own.
When we die a natural death our bodies will revert back to the dust from wence we came.
Our spirits if they belong to God will go on to be with Him for all eternity.

Since the devil is spirit with no body, in order for him to work in this earth he has to work through a body.
Remember I said that Satan has disciples too!
I ain't talking about Harley riders either.

The devil made disciples and he is still making them today.

Jesus made disciples and He is still making them today.
Nothing gets done in this earth except it be by the hands of a man.
By the power of God or the persuasion of Satan.

We are going to look at the first two who were converted and transferred from the kingdom of light over into the kingdom of darkness.

Genesis 3:1 describes the serpent as more subtil than any beast of the field.
So the serpent is a beast of the field.
The serpent is not the devil.
The serpent is the beast of the field whose body the devil is going to use for his evil purpose.

The devil planned this with precision.
The enemy didn't choose some loud animal that would draw attention to what was happening.
(subtle is what he chose)

He knew that he had to choose some creature who could be discreet, that could get right up next to Eve so that he could say what he had to say without drawing Adams attention to what he was saying.

Oh I believe Adam was near by but he was not in earshot.
The devil didn't approach Adam for a reason.
Eve looked at the fruit with lust, because the desire for it was introduced to her for a reason.
She had never looked at it before in that way.

But the suggestion had been made to her.
She took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

Adam ate with her.
Adam was not approached along with her.
I shop for food and prepare food and my husband is not there but what I present to him we eat together.

When Adam made his excuse to the Father he blamed Eve because she was the one who approached and suggested to him that he should eat, not the serpent.
It was Adams job and duty to protect Eve and the enemy knew this, that's why he was subtle.

Genesis 3:12 Adam answered God as it had happened, we see it at as a mere cop out, he told what happened.

The Father even asked Eve, "What have you done?"
Genesis 3:13
Eve blamed the serpent because he was the one who approached her and introduced the suggestion to her.

Every body was cursed behind it.
Adam, Eve, the serpent because they all allowed some other opinion apart from their maker to influence and provoke them to act contrary to what God had established.

All of them were equally at fault.

So Satan who had hidden his true identity, a wolf in sheep's clothing approached Eve.
God doesn't want you caught off guard.
That preaches right there.
I know people who the devil works through using the power of suggestion in a simple question.
A subtle suggestion is all it takes.

It can seem like a simple question but that sucker packs a wallop of suspicion and innuendo behind it.

It only takes one to introduce faith.
It only takes one to introduce doubt.

Like, Who is over Lolita, who does Lolita report to?
Simple question?
Not.

They don't even have to say:
(Because Lolita has this air and attitude about her that she doesn't have to answer to any man.)
They can just envy your position and favor.
And the devil knows who to ask what.

Get It?
A question introduced to develop suspicion in the mind of the person who is asked the question.
To put doubt in the mind as to what Lolita's loyalty is.
Crafty.

The serpent asked Eve, "Did God say that you can't eat of the tree?"

Go back and look again at what God told her put your self in the story.
Don't play the part of the devil, play the part of an investigator.
