Proverbs 25:2
It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honor of kings is to search out a matter.
The unbelief of others does not make the Word of God void of power for those who do believe.
Unbelief only hinders the unbeliever.
Whether or not you choose to believe or understand the written or spoken Word of God doesn't lessen the truth in it.
The reason that men must be saved and come into the righteousness of God is:
... all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.
Romans 3:23
It doesn't say that "We all fall short... meaning that we all just keep on messing up and none of us will ever get it right so lets just live how we want to live.
It's not an excuse to just say, whatever.
That's not what it means.
It doesn't mean that nobody is perfect so since nobody is perfect keep that Bible on the down low.
It means that all men were born into and inherited Adams sin which put them outside of a spiritual relationship with God.
Without our spiritual connection to God we cannot hear from God and we are considered unrighteous in His eyes.
Therefore all men must be made righteous through Christ Jesus in order to come into right standing with God the Father and Creator.
Because of sin we all come short of the glory and righteousness of God, every culture and creed.
Jews and Gentiles
Those who have received Jesus Christ as the atonement for their sin are no longer coming or falling short of the glory or righteousness of God.
The religious people in Romans chapter 3 thought that they were righteous because they had been given the law from Moses, but Moses and the law alone couldn't make them righteous.
They were coming up short.
The scripture says to 'come short' of the glory of God.
What does that mean?
You know I am about to share that right?
To fail to become a partaker of the splendor, majesty, honor and dignity that is befitting of the child and creation of God Almighty.
To be inferior in rank or influence.
Jesus outranks Moses.
Devoid of Power.
To be left behind in the race.
To be late or tardy and dragging behind.
To come right up to the last yard and not cross the finish line.
Romans 3 teaches how merely following the ritual or law in it's self doesn't save you, but faith in what Jesus did for you does.
There is no more coming short of Gods glory for those who have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord.
You have become a partaker of the grace and glory of God.
Jesus stops us from falling short, coming up short, lacking, failing and being left behind.
But if we don't know this we keep falling short by following philosophy and opinion above what God said.
I know some preacher said it and you latched on to it but study that whole chapter in Romans 3 and see what they are talking about.
You don't come short and you don't fall short either, In Christ Jesus.
You can say that you have made mistakes but the glory of God being manifest in you will even stop the mistakes.
Christ loved the church and gave Himself for it; that He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the Word.
That He might present it to Himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
Jesus didn't walk around making mistakes because He was led of the spirit.
If we are led of the spirit we won't fulfill the lust of the flesh.
In Christ we are the express glory of God.
And it shall be revealed in this day and in the days to come.
The Glory Of God is You.
You are the apple of His eye.
He so loved You that He sent His only begotten Son to be persecuted and crucified on a cross for You.
To pay the sin debt for your life.
What prophet or priest died for you?
Many will require that you give your self for them, but who died for you?
Jesus did.
He suffered in hell for You and Me!
God raised Jesus up from death for You!
So that you would not have to pay the eternal wage that goes with sin.
This is why you don't have to injure your body for God because He already did it for You.
A Glorious God who doesn't require anything from you but that you trust and follow His Word with your life.
LIFT UP YOUR HEADS, O YE GATES; AND BE YE LIFT UP, YE EVERLASTING DOORS; AND THE KING OF GLORY SHALL COME IN!
HALLELUJAH!
