A FOCUSED HEART

Psalm 119:58,59
58 I entreated thy favour with my whole heart:
be merciful unto me according to thy word.
59 I thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto thy testimonies.

So what happened to this man who did these things?

He obtained mercy and favour.

He diligently sought after God.
He thought on his own ways and then instead of leaning to his own understanding, he turned his feet towards the testimony of God.

His heart was focused on the ways of God.

Focused on the favour.
Let's look at a man in scripture who focused on the favour and see what happened with him.

In Genesis 6:8
Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.
Grace is that unmerited favour.
How did Noah find grace with God?

Not earned but looked for, sought after, and found.

If you will look at the record in Genesis 6:5 you can see that the wickedness of all mankind was so great in the earth, that every imagination and thought in the hearts of men was only wicked and evil continually.

Can you even imagine that every single thought was wicked and evil?

A mind that plots evil, spite, perversion, hatred, anger, murder, division, greed, theft, rape and constantly thinks against the ways of God and how to please them selves only 24/7/365.
Over and over this is all they thought continually.

To the point that the Creator was sorry that He had even created man.
It grieved God in His heart, it hurt Him to see man living in such a manner to the point that God said, [I will destroy everything that I have created rather than see my creation live in violence and corruption.] (paraphrased)

God had made His ways and Himself known to man so men knew what was pleasing to the Father, they just chose the curse.
The proof of that was that there was one man who looked to God, chose and honored the way of Elohim.

That would be Noah.

Genesis 6:8
Noah found grace (favour) in the eyes of the LORD.
This means the LORD looked, the LORD was focused and couldn't find any other man to do His Will but Noah.

So the LORD told Noah what He was going to do and He told Noah what to do to prepare for it so that he and his family could be saved.

Father told Noah, everything on this earth is going to die by the water of a flood...
But with you I will establish my covenant...

Why did God choose Noah?
Genesis 7:1
... And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark: for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.

In the middle of all of this perversion, hate and wickedness, you stand out.

Noah was focused on finding favour with God and God was focused on Noah.
God told Noah, I have seen you live righteous before me among all of this unrighteousness.

Noah's light shined bright enough in a dark world so that God could see it.

What did Noah do?
He did all that God told him to do.
Noah built that ark and he and all of his family were saved from the flood as others perished.

Proverbs 11:27
He that diligently seeketh God procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him.

Today is the day to focus wholeheartedly on the ways of God and the things that are pleasing to Him.

You won't find grace if you are not looking for it.

Heavenly Father,
I thank You for your Word that teaches us and leads us and guides us directly to You.
I pray for hearts to be turned to You focused on what is acceptable in Your eyes, that they and their families be in the Ark of Salvation when Messiah returns.

I entreat Your favour LORD with my whole heart this day on behalf of the lost and those who know You that we all focus with one accord on your Will.
We will think on our own ways and then turn them towards Your Word.

In the authority given me through the blood of Jesus do I ask knowing that You hear me and will not deny me any good thing.

I give You Glory and Praise as I say,
Amen.

Focus on the Favour.
Noah did.

LOVE
