FOOLISHNESS

Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding.
Proverbs 9:6

It's so good to go to the church building where the things of God are coming forth.
Oh I just enjoyed my self in service yesterday.
I was exhorted, edified and even corrected with the use of the word stupid.

Stupid is a mean word and as the man of God taught he doesn't allow his children to use that word and I realized that I don't allow my children to use it so why should I use it?
I was guilty of calling behaviour and people stupid last week.
I apologize for the use of that word.

This week the focus will be on the Bibles definition of stupid, foolishness.

Jesus taught a parable in Matthew 25 that likened those who would enter into the kingdom and those who would not as 10 ten virgins.
Five were described as wise and five were described as foolish.
We have learned from holy scripture that foolishness plucks down and wisdom builds up.
Proverbs 14:1

I have found that the purposes of ministry is to win souls, meet the needs of those souls, build up,edify, exhort, correct, and to put the saved in remembrance of God's Word and promises.

So what I am about to say will cover at least one of those things.

We need to have a relationship with Christ and His Word.
We don't have values apart from Him.
These values must be continually before our eyes and in our ears.
Wearing the cross on our necks doesn't keep us in remembrance of the ways of Christ.

Men have all sorts of reasons why they do not attend church, study the Bible or worship God on a daily basis.
The reason is that no matter who they are or what excuse is given that God and His way is just not important to them.
That's it, God is not a priority in the lives of many people until they are in a situation that their ways can't get them out of.

Many wake up every day and on purpose get washed, dressed and make their way to a job because they know that if they don't get to work, they won't receive a pay check.
It's important to them.

But how many get up every day on purpose get washed in the word, get dressed in the armour of God and go before Him?

Not all who should, yet many believe that they will be recognized by the Anointed One when He returns.
Will He know you?

I am speaking about my self as a woman who lived foolish for many years along with many other Christians who have sought God and now understand this.
This is important to me.
Titus 3:3
3 ..we our selves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving different lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
I did foolish things.
But while I lived that way the kindness and love of God was shared with me,I didn't hear the Word when I had stopped being a foolish woman and making foolish decisions, I heard it preached right in the middle of all my fool like behaviour.
While I was yet in sin.

We have to talk about it because this Gospel has been made known and is continually being made known.
What does it matter if we profess to know God and then not glorify Him as who He is?
What difference does it make if we say that we take God with us wherever we go but our actions and lives don't represent that?

The wisdom of this world is foolish and the more they profess their intelligence the more corrupt they become.
Christians can't take on that corrupt methodology because God will give us up to our choices.

We can't afford to lean to our own understanding, we have to acknowledge God in all of our ways.
He gave us a free will.
Unless we take assertive action daily to line our will up with God's will we won't stand in His sight.

I know folks may dealing with economic issues or family issues but this will tie into every issue.
Study and think on Matthew chapter 25.
Today is the day to make God and His Word and Ways a priority in your life.

It would be foolish not to.
LOVE
