1 Corinthians 6:9-11
Please take time to turn to these scriptures and read.
In order to get an understanding we have to seek it.
This is not a devotional or a quick read, this has to be studied.
We live in a world where many believe that anything goes,
and some evidently believe that anything goes to heaven as well.
Many think that because God is love He is accepting of what is deemed the little sins.
That a good, loving, kind God will allow sin to pass through the pearly gates.
There will be no sin nature or spirit in heaven, that's why The Father sent His Word/Son so that we could understand this now and be cleansed of all unrighteousness.
God is faithful and just to forgive a man and to cleanse him of all unrighteousness, but that's up to the man to repent and confess and turn from sin.
1John 1:9
Wherever the Spirit of the Lord is if sin is there, one of them will be cast out and it won't be God.
So we are going to go over some things that people consider little.
It's the little foxes that spoil the vine.
Clamping the bear trap down on the little fox and his neck this week.
No man is gonna be able to just pimp on up into heaven like that Virginia couple that slid up into the White house.
There will be no crashing of heaven's gate.
So let's look at how God has already invited all men and what it really takes to gain a legal entrance.
It's through Faith in Jesus.

Monday we learned that deeds will not get a man in the gate.
We looked a little yesterday at my lady who wanted me to lie for her because she had a twisted view of God's love.
Believing that sin has levels and that her sin is the exception to the rule.
Babies, there is no exception for anybody not even Mother Theresa, not your sweet little granny.
All men must be saved and come into the knowledge of the truth.
It has been established in John 3:16 that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son so that whosoever believeth on Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
It doesn't say that God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son so that whosoever can half way justify their actions or do good deeds should not perish, but have everlasting life.
So we won't twist the meaning of His love as a defense or justification to live in sin.
OK
Alright then.
When does a man begin to love God?
That's what I want to know because Jesus will be coming back for those who love Him.
Revisiting John 8:42 where Jesus said:
... If God where your Father, you would love me because
I came forth from God...
We may have a cross necklace and a fish symbol, a nativity scene and a coffee mug with scripture on it but those symbols are not our identifying factor with God.
People may recognize a bumper sticker with a fish on it as being associated with Christ but God recognizes His children by their heart.
A long time ago God spoke to men through the prophets but the Bible says that in these last days He is speaking to us by His Son, who He appointed over all things, through who also He made the worlds.
This is why Jesus could say, ... hang all of the law and the prophets on what I am saying.
What does Jesus say to those who love Him?
John 14:15 Jesus said:
If you love me, keep my commandments.
Like a wife ain't trying to just hear some song from a man saying, "Baby I love you." but he doesn't work, and take care of her, he doesn't provide for her and his children, he doesn't keep her.
He doesn't demonstrate his care for her.
If a man loves a woman he will take care for that woman because there is proof in action that demonstrates love.
Love prays for folks and love gives up it's leasure time for other people and love teaches because love wants others to live in the kingdom.
What else did Jesus say about those who profess to love Him?
John 14:23
If a man love me, he will keep my words...
Who's words are you keeping?
The words of a co-worker or a neighbor?
Which one of their blood can cleanse you from all unrighteousness?
Which one of them has been appointed over all things?
To keep the words of Jesus first means to know what His Words are, and then go on to obey those teachings.
If we throw out what Jesus said and replace it with Hollywood's philosophy, we are not keeping His Word.
Lean not to your own understanding but acknowledge the Lord in all your ways and He shall direct your path.
Jesus went on in John 14:24 to say:
He who has no love for me will not keep my sayings.
A man who doesn't love a woman will not keep her, he will toss her as soon as a new model interests him.
Like people do the Word Of God.
When something that tickles their fancy/ itching ears comes along out goes what Jesus said.
Itching ears are ears that want a doctrine that says whatever I do is alright even if it doesn't line up with what God has established.
Itching ears believe that God has changed His way of being and doing because the times have changed.
The same yesterday, today and forever is what God is.
This is clear and plain and there is no in between.
If a man confesses to love God and Jesus, this man or woman keeps the Words of God and if he doesn't love Jesus he will not keep His words.
Monday we also talked a little about what being saved means, so understand that salvation in it's self is not based on behaviour.
So I am not redeemed because I buy toys for the less fortunate, or I speak softly and walk lightly.
I am not redeemed because I'm kind to old folks.
Because I have been redeemed by the blood of the lamb I give to the less fortunate not to be seen of men or applauded by them.
Because I am redeemed I can speak softly and walk lightly.
We don't change our behaviour because we are so great and we have social skills, it's the love of God, the Spirit of God and the Word of God being shed abroad in our hearts after we receive salvation that changes our thinking and then our behaviour.
So don't be confused, thinking that going along with the crowd because it's easier is so great a deed.
You may be nice and all of that, your parents did an excellent job, but don't boast in your ability to get along with folks at the cost of denying your Faith in Jesus Christ.
You can have 10,000 + friends on Facebook, how many of them are growing in the things of God?
Are you even mentioning how following Jesus has impacted your life or are you ashamed or worried that they will think you are square?
I was really upset once I found out what salvation meant and then looked back at all of the people who knew and didn't take the time to talk to me about it.
I could have gone to hell because someone else didn't have the peaches to share the truth with me.
Denying Christ is not the key to the kingdom.
Jesus said if you deny me before this world I will deny you before my Father.
Remember, faith without works is dead and works without faith is just as dead.
Romans 3:27
Where is boasting then? It is excluded.
Ain't no room for boasting whether you be a Jew or a Greek.
It don't matter if you eat pork or pringles because it's all by the law of faith in Jesus.
So pumping your chest out because you think that you support a good cause
is excluded if you don't support these truth's.
We can take responsibility for our actions.
We cannot make atonement for our own sin because we were born into sin.
Romans 5:11,12
Romans 3:24 teaches that redemption (peace and reconciliation with God) is in Christ Jesus.
Christ Jesus is the only offering that a Holy God will receive as the propitiation/ price for our sin.
You can pray all day everyday and not receive the atonement and you will not be let in.
The wages of sin is death not a get out of jail free card.
Jesus is the card.
Jesus paid that price not only so we wouldn't have to but because we don't even fit the bill.
He is the only one who could.
2 Corinthians 5:21 says For He(GOD)hath made Him (Jesus)to be sin for us, who knew no sin;
that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. (JESUS)
We are very much acquainted with sin because of Adam it passed upon all men and the only way to be cleansed of it's unrighteousness is through the blood of Jesus.
We call it the Great Exchange.
Redeem the time and meditate the scriptures in this blog.
Come to Jesus because there will be no crashing the gates of heaven.
You won't just slip in because you look the part.
We will continue to clamp down on the foxes tomorrow.
