A SOFT TONGUE

If I didn't know to meditate the Word I would be moved by accusation.

Psalm 55:22
Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and He shall sustain thee: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

Is anyone out there being pressed?
Is anyone just getting on your nerves?

Well that's life.

As long as we live on this planet there are going to be people who rub you the wrong way and there are going to people who you rub the wrong way too.

I will be 40 years old on June 3rd and in my 40 years of living I am so sure that I have got on some folks nerves and Lord knows I have had people get on mines.

I will not let anyone move me away from what God told me to do.
What we don't want to do is get what God told me to do and what He told you to do confused.

If the Lord has required you to do a certain thing and there are folks who have become an issue for you, I want to share something with you that I meditate on.
I work in a field where it definitely ain't easy, it is a high stress field dealing with brain injured folks.
I can work anywhere that I want to work but I love my job not because of the pay because the pay is not what folks have googled trying to figure out what I do.

I love my job because it puts me in the position to love on folks when they are scared.

If you are in a position where you are being pressured based on someone elses issue, first pray for that person and continue to love on that person.
God will handle all of that.

The righteous shall not be moved.
They will not be moved by enemies or the world system.
And they will not be moved by other Christians either.
Let me tell you why.

Because when things are stressful you humble your self under the mighty hand of God, casting all of your care upon Him, for He cares for you.
People might not care enough about you to humble them selves or submit to listening.
Pride will mess folks up.
Pride thinks that it knows what it is talking about when it has no relationship with the subject at all.

Pride doesn't care what is going on with you, all pride wants to know is if you are going to blame them.

This is why we can't hold grudges because a grudge is pride based.
At the very core of a grudge is pride and God's grace is not on it.
Don't bust up out of anywhere out of anger and haste because God's grace is not on showing someone else up or seeking revenge.

You may be in a situation where your supervisor or manager is causing you grief and you believe that you are just going to leave that place.

Love them folks.

Look at what the word says in Ecclesiastes 10:4 (AMPLIFIED)
If the temper of the ruler rises up against you, do not leave your place [or show a resisting spirit]; for gentleness and calmness prevent or put a stop to great offenses.

Proverbs 25:15 teaches
By long forbearing is a prince persuaded, and a soft tongue breaketh the bone.

The Message Bible goes on to teach Ecclesiastes 10:4-7 this way:
If a ruler loses his temper against you, don't panic;
A calm disposition quiets intemperate rage.

Here's a piece of bad business I've seen on this earth, An error that can be blamed on whoever is in charge:
Immaturity is given a place of prominence,
While maturity is made to take a backseat.
I've seen unproven upstarts riding in style,
While experienced veterans are put out to pasture.

Now this is not talking merely about natural age.
This is talking about spiritual age.
People have been nasty, rude and down right unprofessional and they wonder why I haven't reported them those above them.
Or "redformed" them, a red form is a form that we use to issue a complaint in my work place.

I don't have to red form you because I have gone to the highest authority.

Praying for them to understand that the duller the ax the harder the work...

This is also not about you believing that you should have your bosses job.
Don't bad mouth your leaders, not even under your breath,
And don't abuse your betters, even in the privacy of your home.

Because
Loose talk has a way of getting picked up and spread around.
Little birds drop the crumbs of your gossip far and wide.


This is to show that God desires for every care that you have is to be cast over onto Him and He will reward your obedience.

You know that you have grown in Christ when you can let an offense lay dead.

There is nothing wiser than the Word of God.
The Words of a wise person are gracious (filled with grace that saves), that saves time spent in grief, distress, shame and depression.
The talk of a fool self destructs.

Ecclesiastes 10:4 says:
That fools talk way too much,
Chattering about stuff they know nothing about.

Don't be that way, meditate the Word and know that many are they that will rise up against you but you don't have to be moved.

If you examine your self I mean search your heart and you are doing what God told you to do, that's all that matters.

Because it is God the Father that decides when it's time to go and where to go.
Emotionally lead people don't just move in haste, they open their mouths with no understanding and speak off the cuff from the flesh.
Those who walk after the Spirit don't fulfill the lust of the flesh.

Father,

I thank you that we who live in Christ have put off the old man.
We don't walk in anger and wrath and judgment, malice or blasphemy,we don't allow filthy communication to come out of our mouths.

We don't lie to each other but we have put on Christ and we are renewed in knowledge after the image of God who created us and our Saviour.

Therefore we walk in mercy, humbleness of mind, meekness, long suffering: Forbearing and loving one another and forgiving one another, forgiving any man who has a grudge against us as You Father have forgiven us all.

Putting on peace and allowing God to rule in our hearts, allowing the Word to rule and dwell in us abundantly in all wisdom teaching us that whatever we do and wherever we do it that we are doing it in the authority and ability given us by Christ.
