YOUR DREAM OR GOD'S ?

Now Joseph had a dream, and he told it to his brothers; and they hated him even more.

So he said to them, "Please hear this dream which I have dreamed;
Genesis 37:5,6

Joseph didn't have the support of his own family.
His brothers at one point sarcastically spoke as they saw Joseph coming across the path saying, "Look, this dreamer is coming!

Where did the dream come from?

Because the things that Joseph spoke about were not some personal ambition that he had whipped up and worked up.
So many people dream of the spot light, they want to be the wise one, the profound one.
Not me.

The dream was placed in Joseph's heart by God.

Many people have personal things that they aspire to have and to be and In Christ we should have ambition, but our ambition has to be to do God's Will.
If you look at the television shows every body wants to be famous and in a position to be patted on the back, admired and influential.

There is nothing wrong with being able to influence folks so that their lives are changed for the better but to simply be an influence for your own personal gain is sickening to me.

For some people their whole life's work is promoting themselves to the point that it just makes me want to throw up and they throw Jesus or God in between a couple of quotes and then it's right back to exalting them selves.

I was looking at Joseph and how God placed the dreams in Joseph and how God interpreted the dreams for Joseph.
I looked at how Joseph never exalted himself or entertained an accusation and God placed Joseph where He needed him to be.

I looked at Joseph's character and how he wanted to be a blessing to his father and his brothers.
I looked at how he wanted to bless his fellow inmates and the men who were his jailers.

Joseph simply wanted to do a good job, he didn't have his sights set on being exalted and he didn't want to be imprisoned either, yet he never stepped into complaining or dishonoring God in the middle of all his trials.

I have listened to people talk about dreams and how we should never stop dreaming.
I believe that we should never stop believing in what God has placed in our hearts.

That doesn't mean that every pipe dream of our own should be followed and invested in.
It's good to learn how to determine what comes from God and what may be our own or someone elses personal dream for our lives.

I know that when people talk to me they think that I have some sort of desire to be a preacher and stand before people in a pulpit.
WRONG!
That is not a dream of mines nor is it a dream that the Father has placed or put on my heart.

I don't know if that will change in the future and I know that it's up to me to either follow God or not, but I do know that He hasn't put it in me up to this point.
I thank God for that, let someone who wants all of that have that.

My personal dream is that through Faith and Patience I be able to bring people to God and to a better understanding of who He is and His desire for them, wherever I am.

Don't stop dreaming or believing.
Locate your self with an honest examination in prayer and see if your dreams are lining up with what God has called you to do.
Are you really doing what you do for the LORD?

You will have so much peace when you really face this question head on and be honest with your self.

Keep The Father's vision at the forefront and He will bring your desires to pass.

Genesis chapter's 40 and 41
God will give the interpretation.

Have a blessed weekend.
Love Y'all
