Did you know that at any time of the day any day of the week you could have a conversation with Jesus?

If you want to know about Jesus and all that He came here, was crucified, buried and resurrected for, He talks about it clearly in the Bible.

The Gospels are the written record of Jesus Christ.
If you wanted to know Him, you could.
Matthew, Mark, Luke and John walked with Him, talked, ate and lived with Him.

Just as some of you have journals of your life so did these men.
A Red Letter Edition of the Bible will give you the words of Jesus written in the color red.

You don't have to literally step into a time machine and go back to the Jordan River looking for the LORD, His way is found on the pages of holy scripture.

Jesus said, that No man comes to the Father except it be through Him.

The only thing that blocks a man from receiving from Jesus, is pride.

God said of the Hebrews:
For forty years I was angry with that generation;
I said, " They are a people whose hearts go astray,
and they have not known my ways."

So I declared an oath in my anger,
"They shall never enter my rest."

The only reason a man in the United States of America in 2010 doesn't know the ways of God is because he has consciously made a choice to not know.

But any man who wants to enter into the rest of God can.

The rest of God is a confidence, a certainty.
The rest that God is speaking of is not about taking a day of relaxation.
We have to rest because our spirits live in physical bodies that need rest in order to operate correctly.

God doesn't need that type of rest, He is not a man but a Spirit.
When Jesus who is God (John 1:1) came in the form and likeness of a man, he came in a body and His body needed natural rest.

The place of rest that God wants His children to enter into is the same place of confident expectation that He dwells in.
Jesus in the form of man walked in that rest in His Spirit.

Walking after the Spirit will not fulfill the lust of the flesh.
The flesh wants any other way than the way that God has provided.
The Spirit only wants God's way.

God said that His own people perish for lack of knowledge.

There are many whose hearts follow after what is popular because they have never really known Gods ways.
There are many who refuse to follow after God because it would mean not leaning to their own understanding.

Proverbs 3:5,6 teaches Gods children to:
5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not to thine own understanding.

6 In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.

We must first be willing to acknowledge God above any opinion.
He who comes to God must first believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

What does that mean?
That means that you first have to actually be seeking God and not things and fame.
That means that when you come to God you come to His Word leaving your pride and your ways on the floor.

That means that whatever questions you have about life, you don't have to sit around and make up an answer to suit your own personal desires.

That means when you come to God you are coming to Him and not the popular opinion of the world system.
It means that no matter the amount of years on this planet, your status or fame does not out rank the Word of God.

It means that if you have a question about your sexuality, God has already written an answer in His Word.

It means if you have questions about marriage and fidelity or where life begins, God has already provided an answer for you in His Word.

In all of our ways acknowledge God.
It means that God is the first and final authority in our decision making.

Not what our friends think.
Not what our family thinks.
Not what our community thinks.
Not what our culture thinks.

All of our choices.
All of our decisions.

Many people perish in many areas due to a lack of knowledge.

Not knowing God for them selves and the only way to God is through The Living Word.

You know this to be true when people believe that it's God who causes tragedies and terrorism.
Or people who believe that God's Will is automatically done.
Or people who believe that Jesus was black.

They have not known God or the content of His character or the content of the Holy Scriptures.

Do you know why?

Because they have not worked to enter into that relationship.

People labour to enter into a whole lot of things.
To be part of an elite group or so they believe.
They work hard to be accepted into all types of circles.
If you look at the television and it's news you will see people from every area of the globe labouring to enter into a certain percentile.

To be put on lists.
They gauge their success based on whose interview couch they get to sit on or what charity is giving them props.
Some have worked so hard to be accepted in Hollywood and by it's people that they have long since forgotten about God, they will thank Him so that they don't lose their Christian audience.
The Father is like a lucky rabbit's foot to many people.

But any man who has truly laboured to enter into the mind and heart of God, his thinking is not separate from God.
The mind of Christ is the mind of God and it's thinking cannot be contrary to the Word Of God.

Our personality and presence do not overshadow our heart in God's eyes.
A heart that is hardened to God's Word is hardened to Him.

Genesis 2:2,3
2 ... And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had made; and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made.
3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it He had rested from all His work which God created and made.

People have taken this one verse and built a whole doctrine off of it but we must take the Bible as a whole.

The Father was finished He wasn't tired.
He saw that what He called to be had come to pass and that it was done.

Which means that we don't have to recreate anything.
We don't have to redefine marriage or sexuality because God defined it in that garden.
We can rest in that what God has already done is all we need.
We can rest in Jesus being the final authority in heaven and in earth.

We can rest in knowing that what God set out to accomplish is done.
We don't have to rewrite the Holy Word Of God in the Bible.
God didn't call us to recreate His plan for Him.
He put us here to run the earth and live life according to His plan.
Abundantly and in order.

The Father knew when he sent His Son Jesus Christ that He would accomplish.
The Father knew that what He planted would yield.
The Father and Creator was certain that Life eternal would be complete In One Jesus Christ.

Let us labour to enter into that same rest (mind).
A mind of certainty.

To know God means that our thinking is not separate from His.
Rest is not taking a day off and labouring is not work.
Rest is going to the place where we have ceased from our own personal opinion and are rightly dividing according to God's Word.

When we come to know Jesus we don't need to look anywhere else for a solution or an answer.
Celebrities don't know, they know how to market themselves, they know how to create an illusion for the camera.
They know how to sell you on an idea but they don't have this rest.

We are complete and have access to complete understanding In Christ Jesus through the very Spirit of God.

I know that there are some religious folks who see this blog and I am not religious.
You have so many doubts and it's only due to lack of knowledge.

You have easily received the opinions of those who line up with yours because you don't want to admit that you have been living outside of God's Will.

Well everyone was living outside of God's Will, that is why God sent Jesus to rectify that.
To bring us back into right standing with God.
I know that you have had your mind picked by professors who have studied many books, mostly those that line up with their own philosophy, but be brave and look into this for your self.
I know that you believe that you have spoken to many enlightened people who have jumbled their idea of peace, love and harmony together.

But every idea about God is just another idea adapted from Holy Scripture.
There is nothing new under the sun.

I know by the Spirit of God that those who need this and who are willing to humble them selves before God will be glad.

A new producer or a new marketing idea won't change the truth.

If we turn our hearts away from God we will not enter into His rest.

You never have to take my word for anything.
The Bible confirms it self.

I want you to think about 1 question that you would ask God and then take time and study out the scripture in the book of Proverbs.

We didn't create God, He created us.

Don't think of your self more highly than you ought to, this has always been man's down fall.
I recently had a woman ask me, "How do you know Jesus was not black?"
You weren't there when He walked the earth.
I also had a man ask me " How do you know that Jesus is the only way?"

How do we know that the middle passage for slaves to the United States really took place?
How do we know that the Holocaust really took place?
How do we know in 2010 that a war took place between the North and the South?
How do we know who the first president of these United States was?
How do we know who passed through Ellis Island?
How do we know what the weather was on this day in 1932?

Because a record was kept.
Because it was written by men and women who lived in that time.

Take the genealogist's and have them pour over the Bible and see what God says about man's history and man's future.

There was a record kept concerning God and all creation.
A record kept that answers all of man's questions.
The Holy Scriptures in the Bible.
