THE UPPER HAND

God is so good!

The Word of God says in Galatians 6:12:
As many as desire to make a fair show in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ.

I began this week talking about the article in Jet magazine that asked the question " Would Gays Go To Hell?"
The word in this blog has been teaching all week that none of us should for fear of being persecuted withdraw from the truth of the gospel.

This is not speaking to any particular preacher alone but to me first and then to each and everyone called of God.

I know what I was put on this earth to do.

I wasn't put here to debate but to glorify God by expanding His kingdom which is His Way of being and doing.
The Lord's way of being and doing is accomplished first by thinking the way that He does.
The way that men begin to think by God is that they renew their minds by the Word of God.

The Word of God is the correction of God.
Because all men fall short of the very Glory of God by being born into sin by one man's sin Adam, all must be born again by the blood of (Jesus)and come to be made righteous with God.

No man's thinking will line up with God's thinking until he is born again and filled with God's Spirit and His Word.

We have to be born again, we have to be made righteous.
If any man is ever going to really enjoy life, have victory, live that abundant life; and the real abundant life is a life where the man will need no earthly aid or assistance in order to do good work.

God's abundance is not hustle, scam, not begging, the righteous nor their children beg, or earn by the sweat of the brow.

We will work but it will not be bone breaking it will be with ease because the anointing is on our work.

In order to be all that God has called us to be righteousness needs to be established.
Because when righteousness reigns the people rejoice.

What is the real debate about in the world?
It's about the question that I raised on Monday in the blog.

Who is righteous and who is not, what is right and what is not.
It's not easy to have to take this word to people and to have to take it to a system that feels like it's doing just fine the way that it is or that it already knows everything, or because you tell them what God says you are being harsh, but we have to do what God told us to do.

We can't agree to disagree where the Word is concerned.
We can disagree about what color to paint a hall way.
Unless we agree where this gospel is concerned we can't walk together.

I can almost imagine how Moses felt when God told him you have to go and tell Pharaoh "Let My People Go."

Pharaoh was abundance in the eyes of men.
God told Moses, you go on down and tell "P" what he's doing ain't right.
The king of Egypt was prosperous by keeping folks in bondage.
His kingdom was built on the backs of slaves, he had the upper hand.

As long as men are in sin, as long as men are ignorant to the truth of the Gospel, satan builds his kingdom on their backs.

Yes they must know first and foremost that know and believe that God loves them because He only chastens those whom He loves.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Believe in Him is not limited to believeing that He is real or existed or exists like trying to believe in Santa Claus.

To believe in Jesus means to believe the Word Of God.
John 1 says that Jesus is the Word.
The Word is what will never pass away and the Word is what God HImself exalts above His own authority.

The Word is what God uses to correct and create.

That means He corrects us all and creates a new in us by His Word.
Proverbs 3:11

Black people in America dealt with the slavery and discrimination and the people who prospered believed that what they were doing was right.
They perverted the law and scripture to keep the upper hand.
All the way up until correction came.

God called Martin Luther King Jr. to go up against a mind set that had not obeyed the voice of God; that had not received the instruction or correction of God, nor drew near to the teaching of God.

These very people sat in churches and held meetings with sheets on their heads all in the name of God.
Their is a militia group now In Michigan who has tacked the name of Christ on the front of their twisted thinking not knowing from what they are speaking.

I know what I was put on this earth to do.
Give the Word.

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,
That the man of God may be mature, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

So if this says that it's for the man of God, who is correction for first?
For the man of God to be furnished.

I said earlier this week that the good work is preaching the gospel and any man who has been taught of God, any man who can be corrected of God is going to be thoroughly furnished.

Any man who can't be corrected has opened the door to pride.
Where is every evil work really going on?

It's going on in the world system of thinking.
But thou shalt say unto them this is a nation that obeyeth not the voice of the LORD their God, nor receiveth correction: truth is persished and is cut off from their mouth.
Jeremiah 7:28

But they obeyed not, neither inclined their ear, but made their neck stiff, that they might not hear, nor receive instruction.
Jeremiah 17:23
Have you ever been in public and witnessed an undisciplined child have what I call an episode?
One night a week my husband and my self take our younger children to a place where running and not listening is not an option.

It's a physical activity.

There are parents in the stands and then there are children who are just there spectating along with the parents.

Some children are well behaved and sit quietly, they have things with them to occupy their time.

Some children may stir and want to play but if mom or dad gives them an instruction they take it and they follow it.

Some are going to do whatever they want to do even if mom is saying over and over again Bobby get down, Bobby don't do that, Bobby don't jump on that, Bobby don't run up the steps, Bobby sit down!

There was a mom and God bless her who was wrapped up in a conversation being social while Bobby was running rampant.

I'm watching Bobby hang from a banister that is a good eight foot drop down to solid marble below him while mom is not moving.
I basically know what a brain in a nine year old who has suffered blunt trauma to the head looks like.

I'm praying because you don't want to tell someone else what to do with their children.

This child didn't fall off of the banister because the mother in me after too long just told the mom to get the boy, I couldn't hold it in any longer.

I had to say something because I was just short of picking the boy up off the railing my self.

When the mother removed this child from the rail she didn't say to him (don't do that because it's not safe) she just moved his arm.

He had a fit because the habit was that he had never been corrected.
He was not Autistic, ADHD, ADD or two years old ( and there is no excuse in those labels either), a child can learn this child was undisciplined and lacking correction.

I understand kids will be kids, that's why they have parents.
Amen
Mom returned to her social activities while he proceeded to stomp up and down the bleachers.
That was okay because in her eyes she had removed him from the possibility of dropping eight feet below to satisfy me and not protect him.

He proceeded to keep running around with no correction and broke his ankle falling between the bleachers.

proverbs 23:13 teaches:
Withhold not correction from the child; for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die.

This is not talking about bashing your child over the head with a brick.
Correction is uncomfortable sometimes, it bruises egos.
My eight year old daughter will burst out into tears if you look at her hard enough.
But if I don't correct her now she will suffer later.

The Word of God is correction that's why Faith comes by hearing it.

The world operates in fear, envy, strife, confusion, pride knowing nothing of the goodness or Will of God.
Witchcraft, Idolatry, hatred, wrath, sedition's, pornography, adultery and violence.

Yes the gospel can at times be preached out of strife and envy that is why the Lord touched on Romans 1 this week.
So that His children who are called by His Name stay correct.

God's mercy is found in His correction.

Man thought one way and then Jesus said, You have heard it said but I say this...
Matthew 5

Jesus told the folks to listen.
in Matthew 11:20
Speaking of Jesus:
Then began He to upbraid the cities wherein most of His mighty works were done, because they repented not:
21 Woe unto thee Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.
22 But I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Tyre' and Sidon at the day of judgment, than for you.

What was up with Tyre and Sidon?
Was it a place where the Word of The Lord had not come yet?

Well Jesus was talking to folks who had heard.
I heard a talk show host ask once what will happen to the people in the most remote parts of the earth who haven't heard the gospel preached, she asked will our God place them in hell?

No he won't, he won't hold them responsible for what they don't know.
I'm not talking about atheism because an atheist has the witness of God in all of creation and they just plain reject it.

I'm talking salvation.
The man in the most remote area of the world has an excuse.
But those who God has called to take the gospel to that man in the most remote area of the world have no excuse.

You go because you have the upper hand that brings correction, that brings faith, that brings healing, that brings direction, that brings success.

I know what I was put here on earth to do.
Love enough to esteem everyone the same advantage that I have, the gospel.
The gospel is our advantage over the world system over the system of babel and confusion.

Philippians 2:3

Heavenly Father,
We have the hand above strife in this world because you placed it in our hearts to carry to men wherever they are. We honor you by being bold and courageous enough to not fear persecution proving what is right by restoring the minds of the lost with Your Word.

Faith comes by hearing it and hearing it and hearing it and hearing it and hearing it and hearing it and hearing it and hearing it and hearing it and hearing it and speaking it, and doing it!
