In Romans 1:14 The Apostle Paul said, " I am obligated both to the Greeks and the non Greeks, both to the wise and the foolish."
Paul was obliged to administer the truth of the Word to the circumcised and the non circumcised.
To the Jew and the Gentile, to the well educated and wealthy as well as to those of lesser means and lesser education.
Paul had a responsibility to God, a debt of gratitude owed to God to proclaim and explain the gospel.
He could never repay God but he restricted his mode of life to a course of action that would be pleasing to God.
Paul was willing to lay down himself to be used for God's service.
I pray that this same mind and attitude be in all believers.
Not just an attitude of showing up but a heart to serve without judgment and a willingness to lay down their flesh.
What Paul often did because he was a man and not an angel was answer his critics.
Paul answered his critics because they were preaching in the same area where he was sent to expand the kingdom of God.
Paul would go into a place and preach the gospel and folks would be saved, filled with the holy ghost and start running for God.
Then Paul would receive a letter from someone telling of some nonsense somebody else had come in claiming about Christ or what he was preaching.
So he would have to whip out the pen and send then some instruction to keep them on what the teaching of God said.
Don't depart from the Script.
Stick with the Word.
In Galatians chapter 6 Paul talked about as children of God us being very careful to pay attention to our own work and how if we see a brother or sister in Christ or any believer withdrawing from the path of righteousness or led away from the truth of the gospel, we who are rooted and grounded should gently and humbly help them to get back on the path of righteousness.
To restore them without any sense of superiority is what the Amplified version says.
There is a way to do it.
I'm just really coming to understand this myself. I have heard it before and said it before but now I really get it.
The reason that the Father wants us to keep an attentive eye on how we restore a man is because the way and attitude in which we do it could be harsh and lead away from the Word.
If we walk away from the Word we will not get God's result, that's just it and we can try and blame it on everything and anything else, but the only reason we don't get a God result is if we don't do it God's way.
Amen.
The Bible teaches us all to carefully scrutinize, examine and test our own hearts first before we start out on administering something to someone else.
Because the law of "Seed Time and Harvest" is not simply limited to money.
If we come hard, heady and high minded with correction that is what we will reap.
This is true when ministering truth to the lost or to one another In Christ.
Anyone ever had this happen to them?
God will not allow the student or the teacher to set His precepts aside.
This is where many of us miss it when we want to side with world opinion.
God will not be mocked by sinners or saints.
This is why as people set apart for the service and five fold business of maturing saints we can't put God's Word aside for any man.
For gays, our own family members, for criminals or anyone.
God is not deceived, deluded or misled; God will not allow Himself to be sneered at( scorned, disdained, or mocked by mere pretensions or professions by anyone who having his Word yet set it aside, especially in the Name of His Work.
Anyone In Christ who decides to speak from a fleshy or carnal heart and or attitude has sown a seed to the flesh.
Anyone In Christ who decides to speak as the Spirit wills and would have them to has now sown a seed to the Spirit.
One will reap decay, ruin and corruption. God has clearly told us to let no corrupt communication come out of our mouths.
Corrupt communication is not just cussing.
Corrupt communication is setting God's way aside when you respond to anything.
So the Lord teaches us all to be mindful and to be a blessing to one another and not grow weary and loosen or relax our hold on love towards one another or to loosen in the areas where correction by the Word is necessary.
Restoring and adjusting the way we think by the Word is for our own spiritual good and advantage as well as for those God brings across our path.
Helping to mature one another spiritually will add to the success of us as individuals and as a unit, one body fitly joined.
This is why it is so important to be mindful of what we hear and the attitudes that we surround our selves with when we are not in church or around true believers.
Because it's easy to be loyal to a cause and still carry the attitude of the world outside of our commitment to that cause.
That's why even as a famous pastor you have to be built up on this Word or you can't be hanging out with comedians or actors who don't follow God's Word or they will begin to affect your thinking versus you having a spirit changing impact on their lives.
We do what God instructs us to because we are working for His approval.
Please God and everything else will follow.
