GOD BREATHED

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Genesis 2:7



Fearfully and Wonderfully made.
Did you know that you were reverentially and awesomely formed?

That God took His time with you.

The Spirit that forms our soul was breathed from the mouth of God.

Your mind, your will and your emotions had the Spirit of God breathed into them.


The Lord wants to show us so much, but our natural minds can barely process the beauty in the things that He has for us.



It is so imperative to walk by the Spirit and not by the flesh.
Now as soon as we step out on Spirit, something is coming to ring the flesh bell.
Don't let the devil ring your bell this morning, look at what God did.



I was looking at John 20:22 where the Lord revealed Himself to His followers after He had risen from death, hell and the grave. The Lord spoke to the disciples saying, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so I send you.

And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost...



Jesus breathed on them like God breathed into the first man.



We know that the disciples weren't baptized (submerged in) with the Holy Ghost until the day of Pentecost.



They didn't receive that "dunamis" power until after The Holy Ghost had come upon them and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Acts 1:8; 2:4



Did the breath of Jesus sustain them for those days until they were filled?

Was that more of His anointing?

We know that it's God's Grace.

Was it new life?

I don't know, all I know is the Word said that He breathed on them.



Jesus said that the Spirit of the Lord was upon Him , because the Lord had anointed Him to preach the gospel to the poor, and sent Him to heal the broken hearted, and to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised.


So I believe that Jesus was imitating His Father as a dearly beloved Son when He breathed on His disciples.


When you were born again God breathed new life into you.

The old you, pre -salvation is not a personality that you have learned to push into the background until you are tempted or tested.

The old man is dead and you are now a new creation In Christ Jesus.
Think about that today.

What did the old man do and are you still doing those things?

They say that you can't teach an old dog new tricks but a dead dog can't do nothing.

You are now In Christ Jesus and He in you and you can do all things through Christ which gives you strength.

And those who are Christ's have crucified the flesh(carnal man) with it's passions and desires.

If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.



If it's by His Spirit that we live, it's His Spirit that we follow.



Love, Joy, Peace, Long Suffering, Gentleness, Goodness, Faith, Meekness and Temperance.

Say this:

I have the fruit of The Spirit growing big in me, I have deep roots.

Because God breathed on me.



The world system is not going to do this, we have to.

Romans 8:4
