HOW TO ANSWER

Matthew 5:10-12

We have to learn how to answer every accusation the way that our Lord did.
I'm still learning to do this.


This is how we have to answer the circumstances of life.
We first have to know that persecution is coming, knowing that we can just flow right over it.



The Lord continued to flow.

The Word showed us yesterday why it is more important to flow as God would have us to.

To go about healing rather than entertain distractions.


After the LORD Jesus had been up in a secluded place praying to the Father all night, He came down and addressed all of the people who had come to be set free of the curse of disease and sickness and it's possession of their minds, spirits and bodies.


And The Lord said to those who would hear Him:


Blessed are you regardless of your outward condition or circumstance.



We are empowered to prosper through Christ.

Faith is the answer.
The Message Bible says this:

Count your self blessed every time someone cuts you down or throws you out, every time someone smears or blackens your name to discredit me. ( To discredit the focus of your faith) It ain't about you.

What it means is that the truth is too close for comfort and that that person is uncomfortable. You can be glad when that happens- skip like a lamb, if you like!- for even though they don't like it, I do, and all heaven applauds.
And know that you are in good company; my preachers and witnesses have always been treated like this.

If someone takes unfair advantage of you, use the occasion to practice the servant life.
(I am getting plenty of practice)

What Jesus is making clear is that He is speaking to those who live a life for Him.
A whole lot of folks believe that they are being persecuted wrongly and they aren't, they are actually drawing the wrath of God towards them selves by being used of the devil to persecute those who speak truth.

The Father will have His way and He will take veangeance on His adversaries.
That is exactly why we don't need to.

Jesus is talking about what to expect will come continually at you if you sow the Word and if you decide to walk by faith and not by sight.
If you decide to live an uncompromised life In Him.

He prepared them in this lecture.
Teaching them that they were His followers and that they represented Him, The Father and The Kingdom Of God and His Government.
Reminding us that God's grace is found in our responding His way and that His way is the sufficient way.

His way is the way that sustains us.

If you only love the lovable, do you expect a pat on the back?
Run of the mill sinners do that. If you only help those who help you, do you expect a medal?
Garden variety sinners do that. If you only give for what you hope to get out of it, do you think that's charity (love)? The stingiest of pawnbrokers does that.

See Jesus got the heart motive of a matter and laid it out because if our motive starts to get twisted like those who come against us we will have their result.

Victory is not going to be the result of the stiffnecked prideful man.

Know why you are doing good and know what to expect.
And then know that The LORD Jesus Christ has overcome all and if we do as He has instructed We will do as He did.

Answer every question and charge the way that Christ did.
He walked from in the midst of nonsense and accusation and kept healing and going about doing the work.

He prayed, Father forgive them because they don't even know what they are doing.
Luke 23:34

Today is the national day to honor prayer like our LORD did.
Doing it the way that He did and getting His results.

The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and He knoweth them that trust in Him.
