GLORY TO GOD THIS DAY!

HALLELUJAH!

Thanking God that He drew near to me!
Jesus said I didn't choose Him but He chose me!
John 15:16

Hey Y'all

Believing The Word of God which he magnifies above His Name.

I was meditating yesterday about how when we go to God with our concerns He is pleased to help us.

I thought about how Paul who before Jesus saved Him on the road to Damascus was Saul and how Saul imitated what he thought was right, by showing no mercy and grace towards his own kins men until Jesus told him to stop.

Saul was a Jew who was not merely persecuting and murdering those in Christ, they were Jews that he was killing.

My youngest daughter came home from school once and some child had twisted her arm, some boy. He probably likes her and boys don't know what to do so either they pull your hair in the 3rd grade or find some way to touch you.

I asked her, "Andrea why did he do that?"
She said, "I don't know."
I asked did she tell the teacher and she answered, no.
I asked, "Well what did you do, did you tell him to stop?"
She said, no.

I got upset with her and asked why not and why didn't she tell the teacher.
I was wrong, she began to shrink away from me.

My child came to me trusting me enough to tell me that someone had hurt her, she was looking for compassion, protection, reassurance, guidance and comfort.

I made her feel like it was her fault that the boy grabbed her and twisted her arm.

Because I just reacted not wanting to have to hear that or deal with that.

I apologized to my child and told her that it was not her fault, that she didn't do anything to deserve it and that I would speak to the teacher and then I explained in a soft tone why it's important to let an adult know when this happens.

She almost lost confidence in telling me anything even if she had a bad day because of my response.
After that happened I would ask her when I got home how her day was and she would just say, fine.
But her brother would say, "No it wasn't this is what happened."

It took her about a week to really open back up and begin to tell me all the things like she used to because she thought that I would be angry with her based on something that happened.
She was confused about what she could share with me, wondering if she was going to be blamed for it.

I didn't demonstrate my care for her like the Lord has demonstrated His care for me.

I know a lot of folks are raised this way where they are barked at by their parents for not hitting back, please don't make your children feel like they have done something wrong if they don't retaliate.

I'm not saying allow them to be doormats.
Don't imitate that a vengeful attitude.
I know a lot of folks say that this is the method that has worked for them in the past but I promise you that the foolishness of God is wiser than the whole counsel of mankind.

If someone is twisting your arm or bullying you, tell God about it first and then He will lead you to the right somebody to tell.

God will take care of it.
He will not put the blame on you if you believe in Him.

Not everybody reads the Word of God in it's grace.

God loves you and that is why His desire is that we cast all of our cares on Him because he cares for us.
People may not necessarily give to shakes about you unless you are doing what they want you to do, but God loves you right where you are and he will help you to get where he needs you to be.

In Luke chapter 10 a lawyer( a strategist/ apologist/ intelligent student of the letter) stood up and asked Jesus, "Rabbi, what do I have to do to inherit eternal life (new birth/ be made righteous/ saved/ redeemed)?

This lawyer asked this question like he would have to do something different not what the common man would have to do.
Surely his neighbor's would all be on the same peer level with him.
No buddy your neighbor's are not only in the suburb's but in the gutter's and in the inner city.

The Lord asked Him, what does my Word say? How have you interpreted?

And the lawyer answered the Lord saying, YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL OF YOUR STRENGTH, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND; AND YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOUR SELF.

Well if you have studied you should at least be able to recite what's required.
The soul and the mind are mentioned as two separate things here.

The Lord answered him saying, "Correct; DO THIS AND YOU WILL LIVE."

But the lawyer wishing to justify himself, says to Jesus, And who is my neighbor?
(This lawyer wanted to give a reason as to why he should be the exception to the rule of walking in love and having compassion) on all men.

The Lord answers him with a parable that basically says don't be a respecter of persons but show compassion, bandage up the wounds, pour oil and medicine on those who need it, take care of and show mercy towards any who have been robbed.

This man asked who his neighbor was but Jesus answered Him by teaching you will prove to who a neighbor is by how you take care of them when they are in need.

And like a good neighbor, State Farm is there.
That's the logo of an insurance company.

It's biblical whether they know it or not.

Do folks really know that you are there for them?
Have you proved to be the neighbor to your peers only or to all men?

Jesus proved it in that He died for all men.
Having compassion and taking care of the sin that separated us from God.

When you believe on the Name of God you are saved, when you continue in His Word, you are a disciple in deed.
Christ will take care for your every need.
John 8:31,32

Love Y'all
