THE PROMISE

AMEN!

Glory to God.
Blessings to everyone who sees this today, I pray that all have an expectation, not of evil but of good.
In Jesus Name.
So Be It.

Print it out, look up the scriptures and think on them.

Do you all believe that The Father is pouring His Spirit out upon His sons and daughters?

Do you really believe that revival begins with us?

Okay.

I talked a little bit about the lawyer in Luke 10 yesterday and he reminded me of some of the resident doctors that I have met over the years.

There is a small to moderate percentage of residents who come in fresh and eager to learn, sacrifice and "pay their dues" to obtain the goal of a licensed Physician.

To actually land a job in a good hospital is the goal.

In the beginning as students they are humble and able to hear.

All the way up until they become full fledged staff physicians.

Then there is a change, some continue to learn and some are just comfortable with what they already know and the job becomes all routine method.

They stop opening up their own hearts to examination and some go from being friendly and cordial to being down right rude and arrogant.

They somehow get the idea that the same ethics and rules that applied to them before they made staff no longer apply to them now that they have achieved this goal.

I remember some residents would even push patients back to their rooms in wheel chairs or actually get them a drink of water.

Now days you can't get the people assigned to do the job to do it.

The Lord is teaching something.

The lawyer in Luke 10 had a similar attitude that said,

I have the job now, I'm a senior partner, I know the law, but I won't need to do what the paralegal will have to do.

(I'm not talking about delegating responsibility to lighten the load.)

I'm talking about character and attitude changes.

Believing and behaving like:
I won't have to humble my self, examine my self or walk in love, be compassionate, or listen.

I won't get sick and ever need anyone to care for me, because I am a doctor.

I no longer have to do those things that those who have not sacrificed as I have should do.

The lawyer believed that he was justified in that he answered from the law that says LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND ALL YOUR SOUL, AND ALL YOUR STRENGTH, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND; AND YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOUR SELF.

So the lawyer had the answer but he didn't understand it, he could teach it all day and he had been put in a position to teach it, yet he really had no revelation of it, because he himself wasn't doing it.

The Lord cleared it up for him.

The Word shows that there is no exception for the Lawyer, Doctor, or Indian chief.

Pride is pushy and impatient.
Faith along with patience inherits the promise.
Humility yields the Grace of God.

Have you ever had someone sitting behind you in traffic at a light and they just kept pulling up to you before the light changes or before the people in front of you start to move forward?

If the folks in front of you don't move you can't move unless you want to drive around or on top of the car, yet the person behind you is still accelerating.

They are driving behind you like their foot is on your gas peddle.

Unless they go around the only way they can move your car is to push into it, forcing you to do or trying to make you be something.

John 6:15

When Jesus therefore perceived that they would come and take Him by force, to make Him a king, He departed again into a mountain Himself alone.

Because he had to do what the Lord told Him to do.

Amen.

So I listened to a message about Abraham yesterday, and Lord knows I don't just listen, I purpose to hear and take heed to it.
I look to the LORD and ask questions and meditate and The Father will always give liberally to anyone who asks Him in faith.

I'm going to share what the Lord opened and enlightened to me, it's nothing new.

In John chapter 8

Jesus was trying to share with the people that He was the light of the world.

That He was the promise.

The Pharisees where tripping about His doctrine.

Jesus is teaching that life and blessing come through Him.

If they didn't stop what they were doing they would die in their sins.

The Pharisees didn't believe Him and said,

So you say that you are the truth that will set us free, but you bear record of your self who else can vouch for who you claim to be?

Their law required the testimony of two men in order that a claim be counted as truth.

I believe this is why they were sent out in two's to preach.

In John 7:45-53

The Pharisees wanted to cut the Lord down for what He was saying, but Nicodemus spoke up and said, 'Hold up! stop! our own law says that we don't judge a man before we have heard his side.'

The voice of wisdom.

(Whatever has been said in the private rooms will be shouted on the rooftops, so if you done lied on somebody and you working to keep that lie going, give it up because the opportunity for a man to clear them selves is coming.)

Jesus said, I bear witness of my self, and the Father that sent me bears record of me.

They didn't know who the Lord was because they asked, Where is your father?

The Lord then said to them, You don't know me or my Father: If you knew me, you would know my Father.

The Lord goes on to explain who He is and Who sent Him and as He spoke, many believed in Him.

Many believed but not all.

I don't wonder who they were?

So the Lord talked to the ones who believed, and said, If you continue in my Word, then are you my disciples in deed;

And you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.

If you continue in my Word.

Once we demonstrate faith we have to continue in the Word to know the truth.

What is the truth?

Jesus is.

John 1:14; John 14:6; 1John 5:20

So they answered The Lord, saying, We are Abraham's seed, and were never in bondage to any man, What do you mean by saying we need to be set free?

Jesus said, I'm telling you the real truth, Whoever commits sin is a slave to the sin.

Abraham was not without sin, like you and I are not without it, but he was counted righteous because he believed, like we did when we received Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord.

The Lord said, The servant abideth not in the house forever: but the Son abideth forever.

If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free in deed.
If Jesus declares you blessed, honey you blessed.

Galatians 4:22 teaches as an example of the 2 covenants.

One child by the servant and one child by the free woman.

One under the law and one under grace.

We are not children of the bondwoman.

One is a hireling and one is not.

One flees and one doesn't.

If the old would have been sufficient God would not have sent Jesus.

Hebrews 8:6-9; 10:8,9; 12:24

Jesus said, I am not speaking on my own behalf but I come telling you what the Father tells me to say.

So they answer the Lord saying, Abraham is our father.

Jesus said, If Abraham was your father, you would do the works of Abraham.

But you seek to kill me a man that has told you the truth, which I have heard of God: Abraham didn't do this.

Jesus went on to say, Verily, verily, I say unto you, before Abraham was, I Am.

We can't enter in through Abraham.

Abraham was an example who represented with his son Isaac what God the Father would do for us in His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ.

If we live by the old covenant we will die by the old covenant, failing and falling from the grace given In Christ.

We are heirs according to the promise and the promise is Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, The Messiah is what everyone was waiting on.

Galatians 5:1 The Apostle Paul said,

Stand fast therefore in the freedom wherewith Christ has made us free, and don't be entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

Saying, we be Abraham's seed.

Jesus was saying that they couldn't be blessed in any other but Him.

Acts 4:12

Neither is salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

In Acts chapter 2 on the day of Pentecost when Peter the one who shrunk back on the water did stand up and preach his first sermon, he testified to this by declaring that men must Repent, and be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.

Peter spoke of king David who told how the prophets said Christ would be the promise.

If you wonder about the blessing.

Ephesians 1:3 says,

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ...

Matthew 5 Jesus said:

Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.

Blessed are they who are persecuted for righteousness sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are you when all men shall revile you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

Rejoice and be exceedingly glad...

Faith doesn't come by imitating Abraham and neither does blessing.
Imitating your Father in heaven as dearly beloved children carries blessing.

Men jump out of airplanes and can believe that they are acting in faith, but they may have no knowledge of God and some may even be challenging God.

They put action to what they believed could be accomplished but it is not necessarily faith.

Abraham's testimony is meant to encourage us not become a weight or a stumbling block.

Faith comes by hearing the Word.

For by grace are we saved through faith; and that not of our selves: it is the gift of God:

Not of works lest any man should boast.
This is sound doctrine.

God did bless Abraham and his seed, because Abraham believed God.

Not because of what he did, what he did was a result of who he first heard give him instruction and then believed.

Look at what Jesus said He would do in John 14:10-14

God didn't tell me to take my son up and lay him on an alter and drive a dagger into his chest and He won't because Jesus is my offering, my Ram in the bush.

God has also not at this point told me to get on a bus and ride it to New Mexico.

God told me to write this down today and He will confirm it, and because I believe Him, I obeyed and I am blessed.

I am doing what The Father told me to do because I heard the Word of love and truth that gave me the faith to do it.

Because I have believed on the Name of Jesus, I am saved.

Because that Holy record in scriptures confirm who blessed is, I am blessed.

Jesus said, the works are to believe on Me and the One who sent Me.

This is what the Lord was trying to get across to the people in John chapter 8.

They didn't have Sun Yun Moon, Mohammad or Hare Krishna, but they had many who came before Jesus.
None necessarily claiming to be "The Way" but people were standing on their teaching and example, because they were the line in which the promise would come through.

They had Noah, Moses, Joseph, Daniel, David, Abraham, Isaiah, Elijah, John, But Jesus is the only one who was without sin.

All are examples of faith and we should follow the examples of those who have kept the faith.

But don't get over into condemnation because you don't walk out blind when God didn't tell you to.

Someone else may have done that but it should have been at the Lord's instruction

Blessed is the man in Psalm 1

Blessed is the man that leans not to His own understanding but in all his ways acknowledges God.

Don't lean to anyone else or their understanding about what God has told you to do.

The people in John 8 were relying on the old covenant and what it said about blessing, not what Jesus said.

Many times Jesus would say, You have heard it said, BUT I SAY...

His report is the one that we must believe.

Jesus is the foundation.

Jesus said in Matthew 7

Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him to a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

And everyone that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:

And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

James said, don't simply be a hearer but a doer of the Word because to hear and not do only serves to deceive our selves.

Most can only equate this with "full time ministry" as they know it, being busy, having 6 different projects going, because they can't hear.
He is not talking about a ministry or a natural building.

It all belongs to God.

The building and the ministry.

He's talking about a building that is not made by hands but one where Jesus Christ Himself is the chief cornerstone.

All good news points to salvation.

All good news points to Jesus because Jesus Christ is the blessing and the promise.
This is the truth that all of our faith is based on.

This ain't about me and my name up in lights, honey.

Focus on Jesus.

My name is written in the book of life, I don't need it to be written anywhere else.

Listen for what the Lord is saying.

By faith they moved only at the voice of God.

If we are children of God we will:

1John 3:11-24; 2 John 1:9-11

This is the works.

False Evidence Appearing Real is Deception.

Fear is to consider, expect and anticipate evil, misfortune, or the worst of anyone or anything.

I boldly say that I fear no man because God is my Father.

The Hedge is not any ministry of defence, the Hedge is not money or reputation or any connections.
The Hedge is not family or the patriarchs.

The devil will move in and snatch all of those things from folks who don't understand this.

The Father wants to show us that HE God Almighty is the Hedge.

I thank God for every experience that I have had this year because He is showing me who my Hedge is.

Job 1:10-12

Romans 3:24-31; 4:1-25; 5:1-21

I understand that faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

That still does not make it blind because the mystery has been revealed.

Jesus is the light and the blessing.
