DEVELOP AN EAR

The Lord Jesus Christ said,

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheep fold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.

But He that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep

To Him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear His voice: and He calleth His own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.

And when He putteth forth His own sheep, He goeth before them, and the sheep follow Him: for they know His voice.

And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.

It is a must to develop an ear that hears what The Spirit of the Lord is saying versus an opinion.
I keep at the forefront of my mind the example of how the first man fell, so that I do not imitate that.

Genesis 2:16,17

Genesis 3:1,4,5

There used to be a time where you could run game on me from here to Albuquerque.

You could have told me that God didn't love me and that I was out of His will and would be left behind, and I would have believed it.

You could have led me to believe that the power of hell was a match against the Power of God.

You could have led me to believe that I had to go through a whole lot of things in order to increase or move forward.

But...

JESUS CHRIST IS THE DOOR AND I HAVE DECIDED TO GO THROUGH HIM.

All that came before Christ are thieves and robbers.

The Lord Jesus said,

The thief only comes to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I came that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Jesus didn't come to take anything away from us but guilt, sin and sickness.

So don't allow anyone to tell you that it's God who is snatching things from up under you.

The Father doesn't have to put fear in you to get you to turn to Him, because His Words are not threats but promises.

You can truly trust that whoever doesn't come to believe on the authority of Jesus Christ, they won't be saved.

It is not a threat, it is a promise.

God is not a threatening God.

Many will try and manipulate and threaten you with guilt and fear to keep hold of you but God doesn't need to use those pimp tactics.

Know that it is understanding that is taken away when you disregard the measure that God has given you.

Matthew 13:12-18

When you hear the gospel truth that says, Jesus didn't come to condemn but to save and then you take your words and say things that insinuate that Jesus came to condemn, you are saying that He didn't come to save.

Your advocate in a court room isn't going to turn against you and plead the case of your accuser.

He or she is there to defend you.

Jesus sits at the right hand of God in order to clear you.

He asked the woman caught in the act of adultery, Who is it that accuses you?

If you hear the gospel truth that says, For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son... and then someone says God is going to take your life away and then you begin to believe that, you are not being a good steward over what God has said.

You can listen to someone say that God is going to take your blessing away or that God is going to take your dream away.

But wisdom would seek out what God has to say about that.

Jesus said,

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Take my yoke upon you and learn of me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

The Lord isn't trying to scare you so that your soul is in an uproar, He knows that you can't serve His purpose like that.
He knows.

Jesus taught us that the parable in Matthew 13 means whenever someone hears the message about the Kingdom and does not seek to understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away that which was sown in their heart.

The evil one comes to snatch away things, tear things up and apart, it's not God.

The Father brings peace and restoration.

The Father will bring words and situations that will help us to locate where our own hearts are at.

Amen.

You have to develop an ear that hears.

Or you will be ever hearing but never understanding.

You will be ever speaking and still never understanding.

No pastor can make you understand anything.

You have to have a desire to seek the Lord's Will.

No pastor can make you do anything.

God Him self isn't even making folks do things.

No pastor or minister can make you a disciple.

As quiet as it's kept and contrary to opinion, a pastor can't make you a minister.

They can teach you to seek the Lord and then the Lord is the one who launches and propels your soul to the next level.

From glory to glory you advance in your soul first.

The president of the United States could slap a title and a pin on your chest and that wouldn't mean that you have advanced through God.

Matthew 6:33

Develop an ear that understands.
