For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
Romans 5:19
Do you believe this?
So by the obedience of one...
There is so much teaching on obedience.
Teaching on how you must obey in order to be accepted or blessed or come into your full potential.
To word obedience is translated as believing the voice of God.
The action will never come before the belief.
If man could have been obedient without Jesus Christ we wouldn't have needed Jesus Christ.
We look back and we talk about how disobedient the children of Israel were in the desert yet it was simply unbelief in what God had spoken that prevented them from getting to the place of promise in a timely manner.
It was their own unbelief.
It's unbelief in what God has said that will kill, steal and destroy the place that God has prepared for anyone.
Hebrews 4:6, When they leave unbelief alone they will be grafted in
The problem today is that so many don't know what God has said so just like the Israelites they would rather go back to Egypt and be bound by slavery than receive the truth of what God has said.
By the obedience of one...
Jesus being found in the fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Philippians 2:8
A lot of times this is taught saying that you have to submit your self as a work mule unto death and that proves your obedience.
Our labour is Hebrews 4:11
Jesus said,
Come to me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest unto your souls.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Matthew 11:28-30
Or we are taught that we are an army so that men can be ranked above other men, we are a body and no part is more important than the next one, Christ being above all as the head.
1 Corinthians 12:14-30
It means that Jesus knew the Father's faithfulness so He had no problem believing that if the Father said, "I will raise you up from the grave."
He would be raised up from grave.
But if you don't know the Word and the Word doesn't abide in you and you abide in it, you won't believe it.
If you have been bound for so long when you finally get set free it's like you almost can't believe it.
It's like you can't believe that you were in that place and now you are out of it.
It was what you were used to and what you knew well and it's easy to go back to what you knew, especially if you get out of jail and the jobs aren't beating down your door immediately.
It's a thought to go back to turning tricks for $2.000 dollars a night when you don't make that much in four months at a minimum wage job.
You might want to keep selling drugs if you don't believe that what God said is true.
If you don't know what God said it's impossible to believe.
John 5:38 says
And ye have not His Word abiding in you: for who He hath sent, Him ye believe not.
Don't go back.
Don't go back to living in sin and bound by the enemy and his thought process.
Jesus always said, Fear not only believe.
The LORD said, You believe in God , believe also in me.
Christ Jesus said, "This is the work of God, that you believe on Him who He (GOD ) has sent.
You might think that because times are tough or you messed up that you have put a wall between yourself and God and He's not hearing you.
If you call on the Name of the LORD you will be saved.
Colossians 2:13,14
Don't let any man trick you out of your reward or your peace.
LISTEN
If you have believed in your heart that Jesus Christ died on that cross at Calvary taking the punishment for all of your sins( because somebody had to and you couldn't 1 John 3:5) and that God has raised Him up to sit at His right hand being an advocate for you, and confessed with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and your LORD,
you are saved and there is nothing between you and God but Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
You are saved.
When men try and tell you that God won't hear you or do for you or He has left you,
be reminded of this:
Your obedience is of faith in the cross and in God's grace, if people were dropping dead immediately for complaining and messing up there wouldn't be any pastors , ministers or congregants.
You have an advocate In Christ.
You have a faithful and just God who will cleanse you of all unrighteousness.
1John 1:9
This doesn't mean that we continue in sin.
Paul said, we don't continue in sin that grace may abound.
God forbid that!
We have been made dead to sin so now we can through Christ live unto righteousness.
This is why we come together to exhort one another daily, while it is called today; lest any of our hearts be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
Hebrews 3:12
Let me share a sin with those who like to point the sin finger at people.
For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
He who knows what is right and does not do it, to him this is sin.
You know that it's right to believe on the One who God sent as the full payment for your sin.
The justified live by faith in this.
Faith is not based on how obedient you can be.
It's based on you believing in the obedience of one and when you believe exclusively in His obedience, you can do what God told you to do.
Abraham believed God and it was counted as righteousness, Abraham didn't do anything until after he believed God.
Abraham lied and messed up regularly but he believed God.
That's what you can do.
Think on this and all of the scriptures in this blog today.
Galatians 3:6
Abide in His Word and allow His Word to abide in you.
Believe God.
One man's obedience.
Love Y'all
