Remembering my afflictions and my misery, the wormwood and the gall.
My soul still has them in remembrance, and is humbled in me.
This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.
It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassion's fail not.
They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:19-23
There was a tornado and storm that blew through my neighborhood yesterday and it knocked down and uprooted trees took out power created floods and disturbed the area with hail and wind.
My husband was at work when I took my three children and went into the basement with a flashlight all four us praying and laughing in tongues.
We heard the loud booms of thunder crashing and saw the lightening flashes, heard the winds breaking tree limbs and blowing trash cans, lawn mowers, and satellite dishes.
We watched the lights in our basement surge with power and then go out.
All the while pleading the blood over our home and automobile and thanking Him that none of it would be damaged.
Well guess what?
None of it was!
The blood, The blood, The blood.
It cries out.
After the storm passed we went back up stairs and outside to assess the situation and help neighbors pick up around their homes, one of the little children said, "What if it comes back?"
My nine year old daughter said, "It's not coming back, we prayed."
My baby said, "It ain't coming back, we talked to God about it"
That was a wrap, the production is finished.
I just laughed and praised the Lord and said, "That's right Andrea, It's not coming back.
I thank God that my children know that The LORD is faithful.
Faith comes by hearing and hearing and it is a spiritual understanding, a revelatory understanding that comes by seeking Him with our heart.
Not only by hearing it naturally over and over and over again but by us engaging in going to Him and asking,
Lord, what do I do?
Lord, what does this mean?
Lord, Who are these people?
When we seek first His answers leaning not to our own understanding, everything that we seek is then added to us.
The Father said if we ask of Him we will receive an answer.
The LORD told us if we knock on His door He will open it up.
I have no electricity in my home this morning so I showered with candles and dressed with flashlights, I get up real early to pray, I have to talk to Abba before I get going, Amen.
I got up earlier to drive around my neighborhood and pray and saw all of the damage.
I also saw how I am loved and God will always be faithful to me.
Even if it would have damaged my home, I'm insured!
I'm going to Sears and get a generator today. LOL!
My children are safe, my husband and my self are safe and God remains faithful.
Let this be the meditation of your heart and the word that comes out of your mouth today:
I dwell in the secret place of the most High and I abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: My God; in Him will I trust.
Surely He shall deliver me from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
He shall cover me with His feathers, and under His wings I will trust: His truth shall be my shield and buckler.
I will not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
Nor of the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
A thousand shall fall at my side, and ten thousand at my right hand; but it shall not come near me.
Only with my eyes will I behold and see the reward of the wicked.
Because I have made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the most High, my habitation;
I won't type all of Psalm 91
I wanted to stop at habitation.
Habit.
We will not receive or partake physically, mentally or spiritually in the reward of the wicked.
The Word says that we will see it.
Make it a habit to dwell and abide in the Word of God because it is our hedge.
The Word of God must surround our thinking so that His power manifests in our believing and then we can do.
Because God first loved us, we love Him and that makes perfect sense.
And because we understand that love that God The Father and Jesus Christ have for us we set our love upon Him and He sets us on high because we have understood His Love, His Grace, His Authority.
We have comprehended it in our spirit.
It's because God is faithful that we can be anything.
Whatever may be happening with you today, call this to mind.
It is because of the LORD'S great love that we are not consumed, for His compassion's never fail.
They are new every morning; and Great is His faithfulness.
We don't live in bodies or mere buildings or houses made of brick, but we live in Christ.
And we are secure and complete In Him.
Lamentations 3:21-23; Psalm 91
Love Y'all
Hi sometime ago I heard that "God is not interested in visitation but habitation. He wants to dwell in us not visit us only. Psa. 91 "He that dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall stay under the shadow of the Almighty. The Word Almighty is mentioned first to Abraham. Actually what God is saying to him "I am all sufficient to perform My promise without your projects." Rev. 19:15 is the last time God Almighty is mentioned.
ReplyDeleteHi Sunny,
ReplyDeleteI agree that God is interested in habitation and not visitation.
He inhabits the praises of His people.
Psalm 22:3
The LORD Almighty lives in us, greater is He in me than He that is in the world.
In Ats 16:25 Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises unto JEHOVAH GOD and they were heard and set free.
Actually Revelation 21:22 is that last time God Almighty is mentioned in the Bible, but He will be mentioned as Almighty daily from my lips.
In Exodus 6:3 when the LORD speaks of appearing to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob He mentioned how they knew Him as (Almighty/ ElShaddai) the most powerful. Yet they hadn't known Him by His name JEHOVAH.(The All Existing One)Yehovah
They hadn't known Him as the One who inhabits and dwells in us.
God is ever present a very present help in deed who never leaves us nor forsakes us.
King David said, If I make my bed in hell there you are with me Lord.
Psalm 139:8
So whenever you feel like God is not around just give Him glory and praise.
... And in that day you shall say, O Lord, I will praise you: though you may have been angry with me, your anger is turned away, and you will comfort me.
Stand back and watch, God is my salvation: I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song: He also has become my salvation.
Isaiah 12:1,2
Yeshuwah/ My salvation.
My deliverance, my prosperity, my welfare, my victory, my health, my safety, my help.
So trust in the LORD forever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength.
Isaiah 26:4
Genesis 17:1
No matter how old.
