YOU ARE BLESSED

NOT SAVED BUT...
SAVED AND...

It is more blessed to give than to receive.

I stood in line behind a woman who didn't have enough money to pay her grocery bill.
You have all probably had this happen and I'm not telling this story to lift me up but to make a point.

She was only short two dollars and fifty cents.

So as I pulled out my wallet to get the money to pay her bill she found the rest of it in the bottom of her purse, she saw what I was about to do and she thanked me and went on.

The woman behind me said, "That was good what you were about to do and you will be blessed for doing it."
I turned and asked the lady where she had heard that.
She looked at me strange as if I should know and she couldn't even recall where she heard it, but she said, " All I know is that I am not about to block my blessings by not giving."

I asked her again who told her that she could block her blessings?

She said she heard a sermon that told her that.

So I paid for my groceries and told her that someone who wanted something from her must have told her that she could block God from blessing her.

But those who are blessed bless others.
She had heard a scornful sermon that told her if she didn't give, that she wouldn't be blessed.

Nobody told her that she was blessed and that because she was blessed is the reason that she could give.

Psalm 1:1-3
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

But his delight is in the law (What God has said) of the LORD; and in His law doth he meditate day and night.

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

The only thing that blocks you from being blessed is not knowing what you already have.

Look at Eve.

You are blessed through Christ Jesus.
You are a son of God not merely a pupil.
So pay attention to what your salvation provides.

You are not saved but...

You are saved and:
Every spiritual blessing belongs to you.

Consider this written word today and speak it out loud.
Ephesians 1:3
You have heard the word of truth today.

Shedding light into dark places.
Still doing what God told me to do.
Acts 20:35

Love Y'all
