THE END OF OUR SELVES

THANKING GOD THAT I DON'T HAVE A NEW REVELATION BUT A SOUND DOCTRINE FROM HIS WORD!

STAY HUMBLE IT ADDS MORE GRACE.

HALLELUJAH!

The Lord need not examine us because He knows those that are His.
He asks that we examine our selves.
Amen.

We do need to come to the end of our selves in order to strengthen and build one another up.

The book of Luke records how Jesus knew that Peter would deny Him three times.
Our God who searches the heart and knows the mind of the spirit.
Peter didn't know what he would do and the Lord had to show it to him.

The Lord Jesus told Peter saying,
Simon, Simon !, Indeed, Satan has asked for you that he may sift you as wheat.
(This is pressure coming from the enemy)

Jesus says, But I have prayed for you, (God's Grace) that your faith should not fail: and when you are converted(The Holy Spirit comes upon you) strengthen your brothers.

Peter cried out that he was ready to go to prison and die with The Lord.
The Lord told Peter, Before the cock crows you will have denied me three times.

Peter probably meant what he was saying when he said that he would never deny The Lord and that he would gladly die with and for Him, yet God had not called the disciples to die at that moment.
It was not God's Will for Peter to die with Jesus.

What did the enemy see in Peter that made him the one that he wanted to sift as wheat?

Peter was the one who asked Jesus, "Lord if that is you, allow me to come to you on the water."
It was the Lord who told Peter, "Come"

The thing that prevents us from entering in, is unbelief.
The pressure of unbelief doesn't come from God.

Peter, recognized who Jesus Christ was and understood that He was not simply a prophet but the Son of the Living God.
Peter was told by Christ, "Men didn't tell you who I am, My Father spoke to you and told you who I am, and upon your understanding I will build my church."

God chose Peter.

Jesus specifically told Peter, "Satan has asked for you..."

The enemy asked for Peter because God had asked for him.
Whatever God has, The enemy wants.

Like with Job, The Father asked Satan, " Have you considered my servant Job?"
How could God ask such a question?
Because He knows the heart of His people and His Grace is sufficient.

The enemy is covetous and envious of The Father, The Son, The Holy Spirit and you if you are In Christ Jesus.

Covetousness, envy and pride is what got Lucifer cast down like lightening, soon to be cast into the lake of fire for all eternity.

Will you be the one to exhort and edify your brothers and sisters like Peter did pulling them out of the fire?

Peter would be the one to strengthen his brothers on the day of Pentecost.

The enemy who is not all knowing began to see his plan going down the tubes because it was unfolding before him. Jesus was going to die and if He died, He was going to rise because it was written.
This is why the devil tempted the Lord to pass the cup even in the garden, but God's Grace!
His angel's appeared from heaven and strengthened The Lord Jesus.

Now the enemy knows that Peter will be the one to establish and continue to teach others what Jesus has done, so I am sure that he tries to bring condemnation to Peter for denying Jesus those three times, but the Lord had already told Peter what would happen.

The enemy knew that one of the disciples had nerve enough to believe that if God called him to walk on water, he could come to God walking on water.
That was Peter.

Don't be shocked if pressure mounts against you, God's grace is sufficient for this.

It is not God pressing you into a diamond.
You are a diamond with a double edged sword.

Do you know who God did apply pressure to?
The Father applied pressure to those who tried to keep His people bound in slavery.

Pharaoh and his army had plenty pressure applied by the hand of God for the burden that they placed on His children.

You are the head and not the tail, above only and never beneath so you apply pressure by standing atop and bruising the head of the enemy.

By knowing that God's Grace is sufficient and that God will provide.
The Lord has already told us what will happen.

Love Y'all
