TAKE INVENTORY

Let thy garments always be white; let thy head lack no ointment.
Ecclesiastes 9:8

Jesus went over the sea to Galilee, which is the sea of Tiberias.
And a great multitude followed Him, because they saw His miracles which He did on them that were diseased.

Have you followed Jesus?

Because if you are following Jesus, this is for you today.

And Jesus went up into a mountain and there He sat with His disciples.
And the passover, a feast of the Jews was near.

When Jesus then lifted up His eyes, and saw a great company come unto Him, He said to Phillip,
"Where can we buy bread, that all of these people may be fed?"

This was a question for Phillip to examine if Phillip knew what to do, because The Lord knew what He Himself was going to do.

The Lord is teaching His disciples to rely on God.
We are going to learn what to do when in the natural the funds are insufficient.

Phillip answered The Lord saying, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that everyone of them may take a little.

Phillip took inventory of what he had in the natural, two hundred penny and came to the conclusion that it was not sufficient.

I want you to look at that word sufficient.
Not sufficient.
Not enough to ward off or contend with the need.
Not enough to meet the need of the people.
Ends not meeting Lord.

The Bible teaches us in Hosea that it is lack of knowledge that destroys people.
And James teaches us that if any lack wisdom, let him ask of God who gives to all men liberally...
So don't get this twisted, there are practical things that the Lord teaches us that will keep us in a position to not lack.

Life does happen because we live in a world where trouble exists, but Jesus overcame the trouble and In Him so do we.

So Phillip had come to the conclusion that they didn't have enough after checking the account of money they had taken for the journey.

Andrew stepped up and said, There is a lad here which has five barley loaves and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?

What is an unemployment check when you have a car note, house note, utilities, tuition, insurance, and you have to eat and buy gas?
Listen.

Jesus said, Invite the men to sit down.

Five thousand of them sat down,
And The Lord Jesus took the five loaves and when He had given thanks, He distributed to the disciples, and the disciples gave to them that were sitting down; and the same was done with the fishes as much as they cold eat.
John 6:1-11

And when He had given thanks...
And when He had given thanks...
Who is He giving thanks to?
The Father.

The Lord didn't look at the Two hundred penny worth, the young lad, the two small fishes or the five barley loaves as The Source of supply.

You may have two dollars, two fish sticks and a box of crackers but if you know God The Father as provider, how could you believe that you lack?

You could easily believe that you lack if you haven't known your position In Christ.
As a righteous child God and joint heir with Jesus Christ.

This is why I stress our righteousness In Christ.
You have to know who you are because lack of knowing destroys, but Jesus came that you might have life and have it more abundantly.
John 10:10

According to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus are your needs met.

Meditate John 14:10-14
really look at it.
The work that Jesus did was to believe in The Father.
And The work that He calls us to do is to believe in Him as He did in The Father.
John 6:29

Look at the works that Jesus performed.
He is saying that He did those things not based in the natural supply but in the supernatural supply that comes from the Father.

Take what you have in the natural, I don't care if it's kibbles n bits and thank God for it because there is no lack In Christ.

They had water at the wedding in Cana and they gave it to Jesus who thanked God for it and it changed.

The Father will increase and multiply what you give Him thanksgiving for.
Psalm 34:9,10

This is why I don't want what other folks have because I know what I have.
Knowing this cuts covetousness, envy, jealousy and all that jazz right out of the mix.

Don't want your mink coat, don't want your eye color or hair length.
Don't want your shape or your skin tone, your house, your car, your husband, your dog, your title, fame or position.

Because His grace is sufficient for me.

I go back to Eve in the garden and the enemy had that girl believing that she was lacking something.
That something was missing that God hadn't already given her the keys to the kingdom.

And people will try and get you to prove who you are like the adversary did with the Lord, honey they know who you are, you have to know.

That you are righteous.
King David said,
He had been young and old and never had he seen the righteous or their children forsaken or begging for bread.

Why would a righteous man whose bread is Jesus, The Bread of Life be found begging or in fear?
Because he doesn't know that God has provided.

Take inventory and write down everything that you do have, lift it up to the Father and give Him thanks for it and watch Him multiply it.

It didn't come because you told somebody you were out of a job.

It didn't come because you told someone you have been praying for a miracle for three years.

It didn't come because you made your requests made known unto man.
If you let enough people know eventually one of them will have sympathy or deem you deserving so that they can get the glory.

But God has already made you worthy through Christ.
He says, Ask of Me.

So that He will get the glory.

This is coming because you are with thanksgiving, prayer and supplication in faith making it known to God.

This is between the righteous and The Father.

Don't you talk about what you don't have.

Shout out what you do have In Jesus Name.
Phillipians 4:6

Do you really know what you have?

God has supplied you with everything needed for the journey.
