THANK YOU FATHER.
This blog today is for those who don't know Christ and for those who have heard conflicting confusing testimony about Him.
How does a man come to the place where he is unsure about God's love for him?
It comes from what they hear.
Faith comes by hearing.
Hot, Cold, Lukewarm
We are going to understand what these metaphors mean today.
Amen.
Hot= Fervent, Passionate, Zealous, Confident
Cold= Destitute, Sluggish, Fearful, Ashamed
Lukewarm= Tepid, Unsure
Destitute of how holiness is achieved.
There are two types of zeal that the Word of God speaks of.
One is a zeal that is produced by the knowledge of God and the other is a zeal that is produced out of a contentious rivalry.
Romans chapter 10.
The Sadducee's, a religious sect were Red Hot and passionate.
These religious learned after Pentecost that their fierceness was not of God.
The Apostle Paul himself was a red hot passionate and zealous man before he was converted on the road to Damascus.
He represented zeal with no knowledge.
Saul was confident that his way to righteousness was the right way.
Romans chapter 10 teaches how the leaders in the synagogues went about to establish their own righteousness. (we always read this like it was the outcasts who had went about to devise their own way of righteousness, this is talking about the devout group, the leaders)
To those preaching condemnation and shame.
God has a zeal towards His people and this is why He sent His Son.
I don't know where you are right now or what your situation is.
You may have heard that you need to get your life together and that may be true, but you can't get your life together on your own.
None of us could or can apart from The Father.
You may have heard that you won't make it because you haven't given God your all by someone who failed to tell you how you can come to the place of giving.
Let the Holy Spirit shed light on the truth for you today.
You get to the place of giving by first being in put in the place to receive.
When you have received grace, restoration and mercy now you are in a place that can distribute it.
Amen.
God is offering you His all.
LISTEN
John chapter 3
Nicodemus was a religious man who heard the Lord Jesus speak and evidently witnessed the Lord perform miracles and because of this he came in the night to talk to the Lord.
This man Nicodemus who knew the Mosaic law well recognized that the Lord Jesus had come as the fulfilling of that law that he based his faith in.(Matthew 5:17-20)
Saying to The Lord, " We know that you are a teacher that came from God: because no man can do the miracles that you do except God be with him."
Jesus told Nicodemus,
Truly, truly, I say to you, Unless a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom Of God.
Nicodemus didn't understand what the Lord was saying.
The Lord Jesus went on to describe faith in verse 8 by using a metaphor.
He taught in parables so that if a man was truly seeking, he would seek and find.
Jesus didn't tell Nicodemus of any labour of all or nothing on his part, but He spoke of how The Son of man must be lifted up:
That whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.
I know that you have heard that you must give something to Jesus in order to be saved, but this is what the Word of God says. (John 1:1-3)
The So Be It said this.
I Am said this.
For God so loved the world, THAT HE GAVE His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.
He that believeth on Him is not condemned: But he that believeth not is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
John 3:14-18
Let's look at this closely.
This is a heart belief that is produced by hearing and by the power of The Holy Spirit because no man can say that Jesus is Lord apart from The Holy Ghost.
This is not an intellectual belief that just believes that Jesus existed.
What are we believing about Jesus exactly?
That Christ Jesus is the sum total of the requirement for salvation, that Christ Jesus is the fulfilling of the law.
That Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life, not you or your deeds.
It is not you giving your heart that saves you, it is Christ who gave His body and you receiving His body that saves you.
When you understand this then you give your life and self to Him without having your arm twisted or having to be manipulated, shamed or guilted into serving God for fear.
...as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.
Which were born , not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
John 1:12,13
You are not born of God because of something that you gave, but of something that God gave.
He gave you power to become...
Now when men begin to teach something else they have gone about to manufacture their own righteousness.
When you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and you believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
With the heart man believes that he is made righteous; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 10:9,10
What is in the heart comes out of the mouth.
Honey, I am saved and my goal is that you be saved too.
It isn't I'm saved but... the proof is not showing.
That is a lie from hell , because faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
That is what Jesus was teaching Nicodemus when He spoke to Him in metaphors about the wind in John chapter 3.
Hebrews 11:1
It's I'm saved and...
Keep your self in the Word of God and keep saying,
"I'm saved because of what Jesus Christ did for me." and know why you are saved.
Hebrews 11:6
Not because of anything that you gave but because of all that God gave.
For the scripture says, Whosoever believeth on Him (Jesus Christ) shall not be ashamed.
Don't be ashamed.
I will not sow into anything that goes about to condemn people.
I will make it my goal to prevent anyone that I know or that God brings across my path from buying into or sowing into condemnation.
Romans 10
John 3:17
Hebrews 11:6
Still doing what God told me to do with passion.
God gave us His all.
Love Y'all
