THANK YOU FATHER, THANK YOU LORD JESUS, THANK YOU HOLY SPIRIT.
The Lord Jesus prophesied of His death and how He would go away to prepare a place for all who believed in Him.
He told those who followed Him not to be troubled but if you would believe in God, also believe in Him.
He promised to come again and receive us so that where He is we would be also.
The Lord said that His followers knew where He was going and that they knew the way.
There was one disciple named Thomas that said to the LORD, " We don't know where you are going, so how can we know the way?"
Jesus didn't penalize Thomas for asking a question, He gave Thomas an answer.
Faith comes by hearing and understanding The Word.
Jesus said to Thomas. " I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life. No one comes to The Father except through Me."
The LORD explained, If you have known Me, you have known my Father also, and from now on you have known Him and have seen Him.
WOW!
From now on you have known Him and seen Him.
If you have walked and talked with Jesus you have walked and talked with The Father.
If you have listened to Jesus, you have listened to The Father.
Because Jesus only said what The Father instructed Him to say.
Jesus only reacted to situations in the manner that The Father would.
Think about that.
Philip asked The LORD, "Show us The Father, and that will be enough to satisfy us."
Jesus said with compassion, " Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known me, Philip?"
He who has seen me has seen The Father..."
Only a harsh hearted and irritated man would interpret God's response to a question as harsh and irritating.
What must it have been like to be in the physical presence living, eating, praying, working, walking, and talking with God in the flesh and not recognize Him as God?
Yet they followed Him.
But what were they expecting Him to be?
What were they expecting Him to reflect?
Where they expecting Him to be dressed in fancy clothes and provide six star amenities?
Did they expect to travel in slave driven caravans?
What were they looking for in a Messiah?
My question for you today is, what are you expecting and looking for In Christ?
Although they saw the miracles that He performed that no man had ever done, they still had questions.
And it was alright by Him that they had questions, because He is The Answer.
This is a misconception of our LORD and God that He is offended by questions.
The LORD didn't chastise them for having questions, He comforted them with answers.
I want you to know that the LORD knows that we may have questions and He delights in being our counsel and our Rabbi.
He would rather we come to Him than to receive ungodly counsel.
Psalm 1:1-6
The Lord Jesus said that He would send us a teacher in The Holy Spirit and He did.
Knowing this stabilizes our faith and prevents us from being double minded believing that God will punish you for asking.
If any man lacks understanding he is to ask of Him who gives liberally and withholds not.
When you know this as truth, that truth increases your faith and you will go to God and He will hear you and He will answer you in His Word.
His Character.
Amen.
Hebrews 11:1,6
James 1:5
Matthew 7:7-12
Romans 10:17
Heavenly Father,
We thank you that you are a good and gracious God who desires to answer us and to give us understanding.
We thank you that there is no penalty for asking but that you are expecting us to come to you.
We thank you for our teacher in The Holy Spirit and for Your sacrifice given us in The body of your Son Christ Jesus.
Amen.
Think about this.
Do You Know Him?
LOVE Y'ALL :)
For any who don't believe in miracles because of their experience with death, life is a miracle, birth is a miracle. The fact that your heart generates it's own electricity in order to pump blood through your body, that is a miracle from God.
ReplyDeleteThe ability for your eyeball to function is a miracle. There was a time when men didn't believe that it would take a miracle to get to the moon, well call it a miracle.
ReplyDeleteThere was a time when men never would have believed that we would have indoor electricity and plumbing. So just because you haven't experienced it or you can't fathom the reality of Christ doesn't make Him moot.
ReplyDeleteWhat intellegent men did before they simply discounted something was to study it out. Physicians for instance did this. It may have been considered impossible or needing a miracle to perform the first open heart surgery, bu tinstead of discounting it, they studied and learned and were able to accomplish what the average and mediocre thinker could not.
ReplyDeleteThe disciple Luke was a physician, he was not Jewish and he records the history and record of The life, death, burial and resurrection of Christ. He was an eyewitness and he also studied the written historical record that prophesied The LORD's coming, ministry, life and death.
The Bible is not some book that was taken from a book that someone else made up in order to force people to follow Him. It is a historical and legal document, a binding contract between God and all men.
ReplyDeleteIt records the family tree, line and lineage that the Messiah came through.
If it is studied as a man studies medicine it would be understood as such.
Without studying the hemodynamics of blood you wouldn't be able to explain or believe in that there are any hemodynamics. Therefore you would not be able to speak on the subject. Then to say that you don't believe in something of which you have no knowledge would be moot.
Faith comes by hearing and understanding in any area of life.
Understand?
:)
As a Christian woman I understand that faith is not blind and neither is justice. I understand that God is not partial because partiality pits His children against one another. The opportunity for all men to be saved came in ONE.
ReplyDeleteChrist Jesus is that ONE.
He didn't come to kill, steal or destroy.
He didn't come to terrorize.
He came that whosoever would hear and understand might believe on Him and have everlasting life.
John 10:10; John 3:16,17
Don't be ignorant about eternity all men have sinned and have fallen short of the Glory of God. There is not one in the planet who is righteous apart from Christ. If you say that you have not, you have lied. The wages of sin is death eternal apart from God in hell.
ReplyDeleteIt's real. Because God loves us He provided an understanding for us and a way to be redeemed from hell.
Call on the Name of Jesus Christ trusting That God The Creator of Heaven and Earth raised Christ from the dead and you shall be saved.
ReplyDeleteJesus took our place of punishment in order to keep us.
God put the wrong on Him, so that when we are judged it will not have to be placed on us.
No matter the hate, rebellion, or pure disbelief that works in your heart, Every knee will bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is LORD.
ReplyDeleteIt will not be by violence, it will be by the pure Power and Glory of The LORD at His coming.
