THANK YOU FATHER.
Thank You Father is something that I mutter all day.
I thank the Father for many things but I am the most grateful that He has forgiven me of all sin.
I write about how God so loves us that He sent His only begotten Son to atone for our sins.
I want to stress the importance of confessing Christ as Your LORD.
I also want to stress that once this is done that it is for once and for all.
Hebrews 10:10
I do not write for my self, I write because the Lord instructed me to and I write because my hearts desire is that people come to know The Father as I do.
My prayer is that you to have the same hope in you that I have in me.
I invite you to go to 1 John chapters 1 and 2 in the NASB Bible you can get it at Blueletterbible.org and study these chapters together in context and then I will write about them tomorrow after you have familiarized your self with them.
The NASB version of the Bible is the Greek translation and I use this to study along side the King James version because The New Testament was translated mostly from The Greek language.
We are no longer plucking 1 John 1:9 out of context.
First John chapters one and two are a man speaking to people about how to obtain salvation through Christ and how once you do, you no longer worry about the eternal consequences of sin.
The Jewish men that he is speaking to had been raised under the legislation of the Mosaic law and their minds had to be renewed to the way of righteousness through Christ alone.
They lived a life of continual sacrifice.
Annually.
Because before Christ came we had no advocate, all we had was a temporary sacrifice, but In Christ Jesus we have a permanent sacrifice.
You all are old enough to pull out a dictionary and search out what an advocate is.
When you come to Christ you are saying that you acknowledge that you are a sinner, this is confession.
No man will come to Christ unless he believes that he is a sinner and in need of redemption.
This is the reason for coming to Him.
I know you may have heard that it was for many other things but forgiveness from all sin is the blessing from which all other blessings flow.
The acknowledgement of sin is confession.
Many men who profess to be theologically sound do not understand this because as they argue, rant and rave they do not understand that if we are not forgiven of all unrighteousness In Christ... past, present and future that their strife and pure laziness to seek God's truth would place them in a compromising position.
In Christ we are in a state of continual acknowledgement of right and wrong because the Word has been given to us and through that Word is how we fellowship with The Father.
It always begins with those who know.
We are the ones who have no excuse.
We as Christian's project out to the world that they are the ones without excuse.
We have the Bibles and the studies and the concordances, conferences, conventions, Seminaries and The Holy Spirit.
If His people who are called by His name and have all of this would humble themselves and turn back to the Word...
Christ already distinguished that it is impossible to please God without faith in Him, but our faith is misplaced.
A man who professes that his "net worth is in his network" is not relying on Christ but on men.
Blasphemy and Babylonian.
Trust God and lean not to your own understanding.
Relying on Christ is not saying that you are waiting for a bag of money to drop out of the sky, it means that you are led by His Word and nothing else.
Be clear in your understanding about obedience.
Because many of the thoughts of men even when not physically carried out are sin against God.
Jesus said that if you look at a woman with the desire that she be yours, you have already committed adultery with her in your heart.
How could we keep track of that?
How could you keep track of every critical and judgmental thought that you have and confess it?
You couldn't that's why the blood which is the atonement is spread on the mercy seat for you.
So this limits men from confessing every covetous look that they have ever had in a 24 hour period.
You can't keep track of that.
Mercy is necessary and it doesn't come from any thing that we deserve it is birthed out of God's love for us as demonstrated In Christ.
I was once told that God wouldn't have mercy on me because I disagreed with someone, if I did not know my Father or His Word I would have believed that garbage.
It was impossible to please God through legislation, that is why Jesus had to come.
God will have mercy on you and when you show mercy men will show you mercy, pressed down shaken together and running over will it be poured out upon your heart.
God is a God of mercy and this is where our hope rests.
1 John 1:9 is evangelism it's not speaking to the man who is saved and understands his salvation, it's speaking to the man who doesn't.
It's an exhortation to those who know and understand so that we might endure in our faith with joy, knowing that we are forgiven once and for all.
It's not a license to sin because as you fellowship closely with The Father you begin to understand your own nature in Him and it is no longer to sin that leads to death but to honor and glorify God which is life.
No one will have to tell you over and over don't do this or don't do that or post signs and signals and put of electric fences, because you fellowship with the Father.
It's when we stop walking with Him daily in the cool of the garden that we fall.
Learn of your status in Christ Jesus and the more you know the more you grow In His Grace.
Proverbs 6:6-11
Hebrews 10:10
1John 1:9; 1John 2:1
God is faithful to forgive us of ALL unrighteousness if we confess that we are sinners.
That confession is made once and if we sin after that we have an advocate In Christ.
LOVE Y'ALL :)
